Christopher Lambert

Christopher Lambert (Manhasset, March 29, 1957 – ) is an American actor and producer

His father was a UN diplomat, so the family had to pack up and move to Switzerland when Christopher was just two years old. He grew up attending boarding schools in Geneva, and by the time he was twelve, he already knew he wanted to be an actor. Later on, Lambert spent two years studying at a prestigious conservatory in Paris.
He shot to global stardom with "Highlander," though his fame eventually started to fade out...

Honestly, I can't even stand the sight or sound of that guy. I just can't deal with him in any capacity—seriously. If a movie he's starring in starts playing on the TV, I’m pulling the plug immediately. 😳

Watched "Fortress 2" yesterday. Honestly? It was awful... just plain bad.
What makes it even harder to swallow is that even with Pam Grier and Christopher Lambert on screen, they couldn't save this mess or make it even remotely decent.
I have no idea what happened to him. I still remember when he was actually great in Highlander.

I mean, if he actually gave a damn about his career, he might be pretty impressive

It hasn't been filmed. It was just announced for 2008. But the real question is—why?!! The last one was pure trash.

Christopher Lambert isn't exactly a powerhouse performer, much like Jack Nicholson.

Why not? At the end of the day, regardless of the role they take on, they both still feel like themselves. 😁

The only real distinction is that one possesses actual charisma and style, while the other lacks it. (Not to mention the fact that the latter has appeared in far superior, more significant motion pictures.)

It’s a bit of a joke, really, though there might be a kernel of truth to it—this theory was actually floated by that controversial Professor Mikić from my university, who specializes in the film industry and photography. A true actor is someone who becomes unrecognizable in roles where they are portraying someone else. Jack Nicholson, however, is always just Jack Nicholson, much like all those big Hollywood stars who achieved fame precisely because of that consistency. Audiences don't necessarily want to see actors playing completely different characters every single time; they want that familiarity. That's exactly why Bruce Willis became such a staple. 😁

The Fortress was honestly such an entertaining ride. 🙏 🙏

Personally, though—especially when I was a kid—I never thought the first one was bad. It was fun, and honestly, it still is. Turning a game into a movie when the game barely has a plot and just some pathetic character backstories is actually an art form, even if the movie looks like Mortal Kombat. 👍

I’ve always had a soft spot for Lampbert; he’s easily one of my favorite characters on screen. Honestly, just "Highlander" alone is enough to make him a legend in my book.

I can't quite put my finger on why he didn't land more big roles down the road, though—maybe it's just that they stopped making the kind of movies that actually suit his style... I mean, look at "Highlander," it stands entirely on its own.

The man certainly knew how to shoot a masterpiece once in a while, much like those other legendary "heavyweights" we all know. But over the years, he’s increasingly fallen into this trap of making movies that are pathetic—even by the standards of low-budget trash cinema. They are genuinely unwatchable. It's exactly this kind of work that prevents a career from truly ascending. And the most tragic part? Most of his filmography is now just this...

Terrible horror movie, but man, something like "killer judgment day" was actually top-tier
