I think I messed something up in my Chrome settings—every single time I head over to Gmail, it asks me for a code, and it’s doing the same thing when I try to log into my social media accounts. Which specific setting do I need to tweak so it stops bugging me? Basically, I just want my pages to open up with my username and password already filled in. Thanks!

Try resetting Google Chrome back to its factory defaults—you can find that tucked away under the "Reset and clean up" section in the Advanced settings. You shouldn't have to worry about manually re-entering your usernames or passwords after that, either; the default setup is designed to keep those saved.

I already tried that, but it keeps hitting me with those verification codes sent to my phone whenever I try to log into my gmail : Turn OFF 2-Step Verification.🤔

You don't actually change that in Chrome settings; you have to head straight into your Gmail settings instead:
Turn off 2-Step Verification
