I’m looking for some advice here, if anyone can help.
I'm worried about my father. He's 75, and for the last three months, he's been dealing with loose stools—mostly watery or just mucus—along with constant, heavy bloating. He's having an urgent need to go incredibly frequently, sometimes up to 15 times a day, mostly in the afternoons and evenings.
He's already seen two different gastroenterologists, but they haven't come up with a diagnosis or suggested any treatment yet. Meanwhile, things are getting worse; he's losing weight and feeling generally weak and exhausted. His blood work and stool tests haven't shown much, except for extremely low iron levels.
Last year, doctors removed a small colon polyp via colonoscopy after he had similar symptoms. He was doing fine after that, until recently.
Thanks in advance.

Has carcinoid been ruled out?

All current test results have come back negative.
Thanks.

Doctors claim it isn't necessary since they removed a polyp just ten months ago, but maybe I should push for another one anyway.
Thanks.
