Click, Click??

Every once in a while, just a few moments after I log on to the forum, I hear these two consecutive clicking sounds coming from my speakers—it almost sounds like someone tapping a glass bottle with a stick. Does anyone have any idea what that might be?

It’s just an ad. There's this kid in the top right corner who taps on the screen twice. The ad itself is blue... honestly, I don't know if it's some UNICEF thing or a medical company or whatever, I stopped paying attention to it ages ago. My speakers are muted anyway, so I only catch it through my headphones, and even then, it's barely audible.😁

😂 I was honestly losing my mind before I stumbled upon this, because I've spent the last month trying to make sense of what all that clicking actually signifies 😂 Thanks for finally clearing things up for me 😵

So, I’m looking at that kid in the flash ad just smashing away at the glass. Seriously, where are his parents? They should probably be dragging him off to go clean the house or something instead of letting him act like a menace. ☕

That’s not even it. A few years back, there was this Motorola commercial where they used that specific clicking sound from the camera shutter 😲

I honestly thought it meant someone had just dropped a new post or maybe was just popping online... but I guess either I've been checking too often or I haven't been checking nearly enough 🙈

Now, this part actually cracks me up. It’s like when you log on and it’s just a little "knock-knock"—like, hey, where have you been hiding? Or more like, "knock-knock, you've been staring at this screen way too long."

When I first heard that sound, I swear I jumped out of my skin. I was genuinely spooked, wondering what on earth was going on. For a couple of days, I was actually hesitant to even log in here because of it. I went hunting around the house trying to find the source of the noise, and wouldn't you know it? Just some kid playing around, knocking on things... damn kid. 🙂🙂

I honestly thought my teenage daughter had been messing around with MSN on her computer, so I went ahead and tried to uninstall it myself. Turns out, that was a total bust. Now, all I hear is the kid tapping away at the keyboard, followed by that unmistakable MSN notification sound every time someone logs on. To top it off, I’ve got those Windows alert sounds chiming in too, letting me know something’s gone wrong with the program. 💻

God bless Firefox and its extensions 😍

Besides, I have to keep my volume muted at work anyway, so they aren't even giving me any grief over there. 😁

I never would have guessed it was referring to that ad up top 😁; I hear that phrase all the time on 🤣

Honestly, that commercial with the kid and all that tapping is just getting on my nerves. I mean, don't get me wrong, I totally support UNICEF, but 🙄

👍 is constantly plugging UNICEF, like they need to chime in every five seconds 😱

The other ad is actually what gets to me 🤣 that bubble popping sound 😂

I actually have my sound turned off... well, I unplugged my speakers.. but honestly, I’m as deaf as a post anyway, so it doesn't matter if I don't turn them off to avoid hearing anything even with Dolby Surround active. It’s probably for the best.. because if I could hear this, I’d definitely be spiraling into total paranoia. 😁

I’ve honestly been sitting here for about a month now just wondering what on earth is going on, and I mean, I’ve actually caught myself walking over to the front door a few times thinking maybe someone was knocking, which sounds a bit silly I know, but I was just completely at a loss for what else it could possibly be.😲

😂😂 You won't believe it, but I’ve been thinking the exact same thing... Whenever I'm listening to music, my first instinct is always to crank the volume up to the max. 😁And honestly, I can hear that sound at the exact same time... just this constant *click, click*. 🤣

This is such a great topic... I guess she’s even more intense than that one "innocent" girl from high school, haha
And yeah, you're right, the little guy can be pretty annoying sometimes...

Ugh, those banners are seriously getting on my nerves, but hey, marketing is marketing, I guess... I remember staring at my screen wondering why people even bother with those loud-ass pop-ups until I saw that UNICEF kid ad 🙄. At the end of the day, they just want to grab your attention, no matter how annoying the method.

Man, if I actually had some extra cash lying around, I’d be running ads on this forum too. Honestly? I’d probably make them so obnoxious that everyone would just mute their speakers immediately 😁
(though, between us, it wouldn't hurt if they gave us regulars a little discount on ad space 🙂

This guy was messing with me for a whole month—I mean, seriously—until I finally realized what he was actually tapping on my window. I honestly thought it was just some crazy fans throwing pebbles at my house.😍
