Let me explain why I’m asking here. I really need some straight answers on this:
Part 1.
Back at the end of June, my buddies at the gym basically talked me into trying out some Creatine (using the Creatine brand). Bad move. Right from day one, I realized my stomach absolutely hated it. I was throwing up all day long. By the second day, things went from bad to worse—diarrhea, nausea, the whole nine yards... I actually started feeling repulsed by food. Against my better judgment, I tried to push through it, but after three days of being nauseous all night long, I just couldn't take it anymore. So, I quit. But the aftermath didn't just vanish. A few days later, I’d finish dinner and feel nauseous for hours.
I started to fear eating. I lost a noticeable amount of weight because I’ve been eating tiny amounts, just a few small meals, and even then, I feel stuffed right after eating—not necessarily nauseous, just this heavy, weighed-down feeling in my gut.
Everything seemed to settle down around mid-July.
But then, on July 20th, I had pizza for lunch. About an hour later, I went out for a bike ride—I figured it would just be a bit of indigestion. To make matters worse, I was already pretty worked up because I’d been getting into it with my mom earlier. It was a scorcher outside, like 95 degrees. After maybe 15 minutes of riding around in that intense heat and sun, my stomach felt incredibly heavy. A couple of hours into the ride, my brother and I headed back home. By then, the nausea had really kicked in. We had the AC blasting, which was honestly the only thing that helped me limp through the ride.
Once I got home, I was a total wreck; I couldn't even move. My face, arms, and legs were twitching and cramping up. I couldn't even walk properly—my brother basically had to carry me. Thankfully, by late that night, the symptoms passed and I didn't end up vomiting (thank God).
Truth be told, I've been terrified of throwing up since I was a little kid.
I haven't dealt with frequent vomiting or sickness before. To give you some context, looking back at stuff from the mid-90s through 2000, my stomach has always been pretty resilient. I used to deal with diarrhea more often, but that calmed down this year (I had issues with the tap water quite a bit over the last two years).
Now, though, I have this massive mental block when it comes to food. No matter what I eat or drink, I’m constantly thinking, "What if this makes me sick?" And every single time I eat, I get that heavy sensation in my stomach for about an hour afterward. I can honestly say I've never felt anything like this before.

Did that Creatine completely wreck my digestive system (keep in mind I only took about 20 grams over four days before stopping), or am I just dealing with psychological issues and the fear of it happening again?

I'm heading in tomorrow to get some blood work done, and I was thinking about trying Acupuncture since I heard it helps with stomach and digestive issues.

Part 2. How to avoid getting sick:
Basically, what should I stay away from eating or drinking?
I’m heading out on vacation at the end of the month, and I am seriously stressed about a repeat of everything I just described.
I'm going to Turkey. What do you guys recommend I avoid eating or drinking (and how much) so my stomach stays calm?

For background, I'm 21, I don't drink, I don't smoke, and until recently, I almost never had stomach issues (maybe once in five years). I've also never had motion sickness.

If anyone knows anything about this, please help a guy out.

Creatine works just fine for me.

If you want to dig deeper into how Creatine actually works, check this out:

I honestly don't get it. Why are people with serious medical issues hanging out on a forum instead of just seeing a doctor?😕

If you want to nerd out on the details, you can read up on Creatine right here.

Honestly, I just don't get why people dealing with actual medical issues hang out on forums asking for advice instead of just seeing a doctor.😕

I actually went to see my doctor today, and I'm heading back tomorrow to get some blood work and a urine test done.

First off... how exactly were you dosing that Creatine?

Dosages have to be strictly calculated based on an individual's body weight...
...there’s actually a specific formula you should be using to figure out your own personalized dose.

Plus, when you're taking Creatine, there are three distinct phases you need to follow.
The loading phase, the maintenance phase, and the depletion phase.
The amounts you take during loading are totally different from what you take during maintenance.

...Second... who was the manufacturer of that Creatine?
...tons of brands put out cheap Creatine that is absolutely loaded with impurities.
...pure, high-quality, lab-tested Creatine costs a lot more, but trust me, IT'S WORTH IT... both for your health and your actual results.

Third... while you're actually taking it, you need to stick to some ground rules.
Take it on an empty stomach (mixed with juice or honey), meaning at least half an hour before a meal. No coffee, and definitely no alcohol...

Trust me, I’ve been through this exact same routine before. As for the Creatine, I think it was Twinlab or some similar brand—I just remember seeing Creatine printed on a white tub. I shelled out about $30 a pop for 300 grams back then.

Then the Creatine itself isn't the issue.
Actually, seeing a Creatine or UltraPure label is basically a guarantee of quality...
And the price point makes sense too.

...so I don't get it. Were you even drinking enough water while taking it?
...you need to be drinking way more than usual...

What’s the doctor saying?

So, I just got my blood work and urine tests back, and now I’ve gotta go get an ultrasound on my stomach. But honestly, looking at the results, it seems pretty clear that my system just can't handle Creatine; it's clearly messing with me, so I'm officially done with it.
I'm really hoping these side effects clear up fast so I can actually get back to eating normally without everything going sideways.

So, look—I’m thinking about jumping on the Creatine bandwagon to finally get some actual muscle on my frame, but I gotta ask... does that stuff mess with your penis size at all? Like, am I gonna lose ground down there if I start taking it? 😕

Stop stalling your brain development 🙂 Put the Creatine down, kid. Pick up a bodybuilding book instead, fix your diet, and actually train right—then you'll see results. Stop reposting threads from ten years ago. You shouldn't even touch Creatine until you're around 17 or 18 because it’s a waste of time before then. Plus, it won't do squat if your nutrition and training aren't dialed in first.
