Honestly, if the trailer wasn't actually pretty decent, I wouldn't have even bothered starting this thread.😁

The trailer isn't hitting the mark at all. It feels pretty cliché to me.

When I think about how the original Rocky was this massive social drama... even the first Creed wasn't half bad.

So, Sylvester Stallone dropped a hint this Wednesday that he might finally be hanging up the gloves for good when it comes to playing Rocky Balboa, a role he’s carried through seven different movies.

"Sadly, everything has to end eventually," Stallone wrote alongside an Instagram clip he posted on Wednesday, just a week after Creed II hit theaters here in the States.

"This is probably my last rodeo. What happened... I never saw it coming," the 73-year-old actor said in the video.

"I honestly thought I was done with Rocky back in 2006 and I was totally cool with that, but then suddenly this young guy (Michael B. Jordan) shows up and the whole story shifts."

Stallone's character, Balboa, showed up in six films in the Rocky series—the last one being back in 2006—before making a comeback in Creed: Rise of Legend in 2015, where he took on the role of trainer for the lead, Adonis Johnson, played by Jordan.

Back in 2016, this role actually landed Stallone his first Golden Globe, forty years after he was originally nominated as a screenwriter for the very first movie in '76.

He starred in eight films total—six from the Rocky series and two from Creed.

I thought the movie was great. Then again, I’m probably biased since anything involving Rocky is right up my alley.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they made a film centered on Viktor Drago; there's plenty of material there to work with.

Just caught this movie at the theater. Honestly? Nothing special. It was super predictable from start to finish. I mean, it’s fine if you’re sitting in some local AMC where a ticket doesn't cost a freaking $13.

I caught it last night. Personally, I preferred the first installment, even if the sequel currently holds a higher rating on IMDb—though I doubt that trend will last. It has a few striking moments, like the walkout during that final bout or the desert sequence, but for the most part, the plot is pretty predictable.

It just hit me right now, like, that our local fashion stylist guy is actually called Ivan Drago 😁 😁 😁

I suppose if they hadn't used such a tired premise, the movie might have been worth watching. It wasn't anything special, actually quite boring and rather predictable.

Honestly, this was so bad I just turned it off after five minutes.

If you've only watched five minutes, how can you be sure it's bad?

You know that old saying: "A smart person sees the goal right from the start..."

Honestly, what a slog... the only saving grace was really the dynamic between Ivan Drago and his son—their whole storyline was so gripping and genuinely moving that the movie probably should have just been titled "Ivan Drago."
