The whole movie centers on a retired intelligence officer (you know, 😁) who takes on one final mission just to save his own skin and

get back in his daughter's good graces.

Official Synopsis:

A dying Secret Service agent is offered one last assignment. While he accepts in the hope of retirement and

medical treatment, he also tries to reconnect with his estranged daughter.

It's directed by McG (Terminator Salvation, Charlie's Angel), and alongside 😁Coneeson, we've got Amber Heard, Hailee

Steinfeld, Connie Nielsen, Richard Sammel, and Eriq Ebouaney.

The film hits theaters on February 21st.

Trivia: Some of the scenes were actually filmed in New York City.

It feels like it's finally happening—Kevin Costner is making a massive comeback. This is easily one of those movies sitting at the very top of my watchlist, and I honestly can't wait to see him tackle a role like this 👍

It doesn't look half bad, I guess. It’s just that the boss lady looks so washed out, like she learned how to act during some amateur high school play back in the day.

Really solid action thriller. 9/10. Caught it at AMC today and I’d definitely recommend it. It's got plenty of action, suspense, fast pacing, and gunfights, all wrapped up in a really gripping human story. 🙂 Amber Heard looks stunning in this. 😍

The movie isn't quite as bad as I initially expected—it’s just painfully cliché. It works fine if you're looking to switch your brain off for a couple of hours, and honestly, Amber Heard is easy on the eyes...

The movie caught me off guard. I went in expecting just another typical project with the Bessonov name attached, but this actually had some substance. Ironically, even though I enjoyed it, it left a bit of a bitter aftertaste. If the CIA angle had been more subtle—more grounded, really—and if they hadn't leaned on a magical cure or that caricatured Amber Heard, who shows up in the first scene looking way more obnoxious than in any of her other roles, this could have passed for a top-tier drama. Even with the cliché premise—a terminally ill CIA operative being tossed aside by the agency he gave more time to than his own family, using his final days to fix his biggest mistake, his family—it still works. They had a cast that could have absolutely killed it: Costner, Nielsen, and a solid little Steinfeld.

But hey, it is what it is.

Bad movie. Honestly, I have no clue what they were aiming for here. It feels like some glossy, watered-down remake of Big Bad Wolves... like it was supposed to be a thriller mixed with comedy, but it just doesn't click.
You've got this ruthless killer with a heart of gold who’s constantly getting interrupted by phone calls from his daughter right in the middle of tracking targets, executions, or interrogations. Of course, he always makes time for her, even if it messes with his work—which somehow still goes perfectly according to plan.
Then there's that woman moving into his place with her whole different family (some sappy social commentary about "family values" after the wife gives birth), followed by a totally cliché ending where everyone is suddenly happy again, acting like nothing ever happened.

The movie is so pathetic it's barely worth mentioning.

BTW, the women are mediocre, especially the one everyone on this forum seems to have a crush on. The best one is actually the ex-wife. Not a bad MILF. 😉

Does anyone know if there are any decent or even just halfway solid stocks out there right now? 🤷

Just finished watching this.

So, Badass Kevin Costner basically tears through all those low-life thugs and the rest of the bad guys, works on reconnecting with his daughter, wins his wife back, and ends up taking in an African family. A total Heroine move! Honestly, I got exactly what I was looking for, and I wasn't disappointed at all—it’s a fantastic action flick. Even the little comedic bits involving that Turk and the Italian guy actually landed for me. There’s plenty of action and some really solid scenes; I especially loved that moment in the club where he just absolutely lays waste to those punks like it's nothing 🤣

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who digs high-octane action and loves seeing Costner 8/10 👍

Does anyone happen to know the name of the song playing in the background around the 78-minute mark? It’s when Kevin walks into the club and Amber is just sitting there, watching some fish wriggle around while she says, "Cassidy, I'm right in the middle of training." Please... I really love that track, but I can't seem to track it down. I have no idea what it is.

Bad movie. I was expecting a killer thriller, but I basically got lemonade instead. 🙄 Such a letdown.

The movie isn't exactly bad, but calling it anything special would be a stretch. It’s fine, I suppose, if you just need something to have on in the background. To me, it feels like one of those standard European crime thrillers we've seen flooded the market lately; honestly, if you swapped out Costner for Reno, you’d see exactly what I mean. It follows that predictable formula: a bit of action here, a dash of drama there, some forced seriousness mixed with a little humor, all delivered by this gravelly-voiced, sleep-deprived, totally exhausted protagonist dealing with his usual family baggage...

I was honestly expecting a total disaster, but the movie actually surprised me in a nice way! It’s pretty fun—I wasn't expecting much in terms of laughs, but it turned out to be a decent dark comedy action flick. I liked it!

Costner is making a bit of a comeback, seems like he's popping up everywhere lately 👍
