I wasn't quite sure where this would be the best place to bring this up, but I honestly think I might be struggling with depression—and it feels pretty heavy. Does anyone know how one can truly tell for sure?

Carol Roberts77 said:Well, this is just how everything feels to me... if you can even put it that way.
Carol Roberts77 said:Look, all of this stems from one single reality—I am alone.
And honestly, a psychologist isn't going to do a damn thing to change that...
The truth is, I don't actually *want* to accept being solo. This constant ache regarding women and everything else... maybe that’s the only thing keeping me from sliding into a total depressive spiral.
Last year, I couldn't even bring myself to step foot outside because the sheer weight of worrying about my future was paralyzing. At least this way, I'm still looking ahead, even if nothing else is working out.

I know, I know, I sounded cliché there, but I need someone... and the only way a psychologist can help me with that is by prescribing pills so I can just numb the pain. Talking isn't going to cut it; they have to actually make me feel better through some sort of action.
Then there's the other option: if a psychologist can help me accept the fact that I'll never have a girlfriend, well... then I just don't want to live at all.

I mean, if you haven't been anywhere near a serious relationship by the age of 22, when exactly is it supposed to happen?
