I am fairly certain this topic has been posted countless times already. If there is a massive dedicated thread for this and I simply missed it, my apologies to the moderators.
I recently picked up a new laptop and we installed Windows 7. My desktop setup is identical, and Java works perfectly there. I haven't had a chance to check the specific version on this machine yet, but I'm running version 8 here. It’s becoming quite a headache. I wanted to watch a series on a streaming site, but Java refuses to cooperate. I have checked everything I can think of; the settings are all marked as "enabled," and I'm using the version that doesn't have the "medium" setting in security. I even added the site to my exception list, yet nothing changes. Usually, if Java fails, you get some notification saying it's blocked or a prompt to install Java and restart the browser, but instead, I just get a blank gray box where the video should be. Any help? 😁🙂
