I just fired up my PC and I’m totally stuck—it won't even attempt to load Windows 7, it just hits me with this black screen immediately:
Windows boot manager
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
Insert your windows installation disc and restart the computer
Choose your language settings and then click "next"
Click "Repair your computer"
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

So, I tried popping in my Windows 7 installation disc and I even went into the BIOS to set the CD/DVD drive as the primary boot device, but it’s like I’m hitting a brick wall because that same black screen just keeps popping back up, no matter what I do.
I’ve been rebooting the machine and tapping F8 like crazy hoping to catch the menu, but it won't even let me get into Safe Mode; it just loops straight back to this exact same error screen every single time.
Does anyone have any clue what actually happened here or how I can get past this?
