Dealing with Lichen Planopilaris?

Hey everyone, I could really use some help here.🙂 It’s been a year since I was diagnosed with Lichen Planopilaris. I’ve been on treatment for twelve months now, but nothing seems to be stopping the hair loss... I've already cycled through doxycycline, Rezohin, and methotrexate. Honestly, I'm at my wits' end. If anyone else out there is dealing with this diagnosis and actually managed to beat it... please, I need some advice or any kind of guidance you can offer.

It has been quite a while since you first posted this, so if you feel up to it, would you mind sharing an update on how things are going?
I am also living with a Lichen Planopilaris diagnosis, and I've been thinking about trying Arechin, which is an antimalarial similar to Rezohin. My own hair loss became quite severe around mid-2018. So far, I've tried topical corticosteroids and local immunosuppressants, but nothing seems to make a difference.

I know this thread's been pretty quiet lately, but I was hoping someone might have some extra insight to share. 🤗
So, I got my Lichen diagnosis back in November 2020. Since then, it's been a bit of a revolving door with local treatments for the perianal area—I even tried Arechin for a little while, but had to cut it short because of other health stuff going on. Right now, my prescribed regimen is Letizen and Pioglitazon. I haven't actually started the Pioglitazon yet because, honestly, the list of side effects looks pretty daunting, but my hair loss is getting out of hand, so I’m planning to dive in soon. Has anyone found any recent breakthroughs or maybe a way to actually put a stop to this?
Also, just curious—where did you guys all get your diagnoses? Is it worth hunting down a second (or third) opinion from a specialist?
