I’ve got this spot popping up on my skin. I did a quick Google search for "ringworm rash" and ended up with these results—apparently, it's some kind of fungal infection or ringworm that requires an antifungal. Honestly, though, mine doesn't look nearly as extreme as the photos (when *does* it look like that?) and it isn't even itchy; it’s just this faint, pinkish ring.
Since I can't make it into the doctor's office for the next few weeks, I was wondering how this is typically treated and if there's an over-the-counter cream or ointment available (something like Lotrimin or Johnson & Johnson). I could try calling my doctor to sort it out, but then comes the inevitable lecture about how she actually went to medical school and I didn't—which, to be fair, I don't argue with, especially when it comes to making diagnoses—but until I can see her in person, it'll probably clear up on its own (though I'd rather not walk around with a visible mark on me in the meantime).
