Hey everyone!

So, my three-year-old son was just diagnosed with tinea capitis by his dermatologist.
He’s had this bald patch on the back of his head about the size of a quarter for a while now—like two months, actually. We tried some tincture, but that didn't do much, and even when we were super diligent about applying Lasizil (we used to be pretty hit-or-miss with it, I guess)🙈

About ten days after I first noticed it on him (and the doctor already confirmed it's a mushroom infection), a spot popped up on my shoulder. Then, two weeks after me, our pug got it too.

I read online that you can get this from cats or dogs, but I'm wondering... is it possible my pug didn't actually bring it in? She's strictly an indoor dog and we keep her really clean. Maybe he picked it up at daycare instead? (Kind of like how kids pick up strep or something)

We've been fighting this for so long, and lately, even my mother-in-law🤷 has caught it. Does anyone know more about this stuff? I try reading English articles, but they're honestly pretty confusing even when I use a translator.

How did you guys treat it, and how long did it take to clear up?

🙂Please help, I'm seriously losing it here. We've started joking that we're basically the mushroom family.😬
