Deleting Posts

Hey,
is there any way to wipe my post history clean 🤷
anyone know how?

It’s simply not possible; only the forum moderators have the authority to wipe a post history, and I don't see them planning on doing that anytime soon.

Look, I’ve actually seen a case where some guy requested to have his entire thread wiped, and the admins actually did it even though he’d been posting in it for two months straight.

I’ve got a hunch that before the server glitched out and wiped that username from the database, this kind of thing had already happened. We've seen these gaps left behind before, and frankly, it’s a mess. That’s exactly why you don't handle things this way. 🙂

Yeah, sure, but if you look at any other thread, his posts are still sitting right there—it's just this one specific topic where everything got wiped for him specifically...

Look, what I was getting at is that when a username gets wiped from the database, you sometimes end up with these orphaned posts just hanging around. It’s possible they were deleted entirely, or maybe some admin went on a tear with a spam bot and did a mass-prune. Though, if that were the case, we’d be seeing everyone's posts vanish, not just one person's. 🤔
I don't know, anything could have happened, but it's probably just one of those weird edge cases. 😁

Maybe he was just being a nuisance and an admin or mod decided to scrub them...

Nah, he wasn't even getting into any big arguments—just participating like everyone else. Honestly, I'm pretty sure I know what happened and that his account was wiped at his own request... but whatever, it doesn't really matter.
