Hi there, does anyone on the forum happen to own a Dell Precision workstation Dell Precision? Or maybe someone here tracks when those specific models started hitting US retail shelves (was it around 2007, 2008, 2009, etc.)? I'm also curious about what the typical retail price range looked like back then—you know, looking at the minimum and maximum depending on the hardware specs and the OS installed.
Thanks so much.

So, what's actually pulling you toward that specific model?

That's just because I'm curious, really. Does anyone happen to have any info on this?

If you're browsing Craigslist, you'll see some folks just stripping their machines for parts because they died, while others are basically selling a laptop that’s on its last legs. You really gotta ask them directly, though, because you can't just assume anything—not everyone is rocking an HP, and even among the HP crowd, the specs vary wildly from one series to the next.

It popped up around 2007, or maybe right at the start of 2008. By January 2009, the price was hovering around $2333.
