For instance, someone mentioned that one person eats Nutella, licks the knife, sticks it back in the jar, and then the rest of us end up eating from that same jar using that same knife. What's the real damage there? 🙄

It’s not just that we’re all using the same knife; it’s that people are dipping it straight back into the Nutella jar after licking it off. I swear, I’ve seen this happen a hundred times. If I catch anyone doing that, I’m out—I am absolutely not touching that jar. It drives me insane. When we buy a tub of Nutella for everyone to share, can we please just act like civilized adults and spread it on bread properly instead of leaving a trail of saliva everywhere? Is it possible to catch something from that? Honestly, who knows, but there's spit in the food, so there's gotta be something there. Either way, it's disgusting.

Oh, I completely understand that feeling; even when I haven't used public transit and haven't touched much besides a cafeteria tray or a coffee cup, I still find myself washing my hands the moment I walk through the door, simply because I can't shake this lingering sense of being "unclean," and once they are washed, I finally feel like I can truly relax and go about my business with a clear mind. 😁 😉

I can't help but wonder if bacteria can actually spread that way, and given how much saliva gets left inside, I suspect it truly can.Even if it isn't possible to change, one still can't deny that the situation is quite unpleasant.

I couldn't agree more. ☕

Can you actually catch something this way? I mean, there's literal saliva in the food, so I'm assuming yes, but even if you can't, it's freaking gross..

Got any doctors in here who can confirm if you can actually pick up something from doing that?🙄

Do you actually bother washing your elbow when you get home? I’m being dead serious here.
