Is there actually a disinfectant out there that isn't total poison? I'm looking for something in a mist or vapor form that won't wreck my lungs but still kills over 90% of bacteria.
I see people all over Europe using this stuff constantly—in gyms, schools, waiting rooms, you name it—but I can't find a single thing like it here in the States! Why is that?

I did a little digging and stumbled upon Lysol—it's actually a Swiss company, but they have major distributors here in the States!! It comes in a misting spray that breaks down into nothing but oxygen and water!! It’s definitely not overpriced, and you can order it in just about any format you need!!

Personally, I just stick to what they use in hospitals, like Lysol. You can pick up a liter bottle at most pharmacies for about $15. It's a concentrate, so you have to dilute it. I use it for mopping floors and tiles.

I’ve heard that 70% alcohol—and especially weaker concentrations—actually thins out the skin. It seems unwise to be slathering it on constantly. What about Lysol? I need some kind of hand disinfectant to use about ten times a day, and I have my reasons involving work. I really don't know what to use that will actually kill the germs without wrecking my skin. Does anyone have a recommendation?

No, this thread definitely wasn't started just to pitch Lysol. 🤣

It’s pretty funny how Fabian and Edward Hall (and even Lysol in that flu thread) make the exact same typos. 🤦
Makes you wonder... but I guess that's for the moderators to look into.

p.s. if I've got that wrong, my apologies : posipasepepelom: :klečinakuruzi:

Haha, I don't know why people even bother with this 😁

I haven't personally used Lysol yet, but according to the label, it’s non-toxic. It uses a colloidal silver base, so it doesn't leave behind any stains, flavors, or odors. Apparently, it just breaks down into water and oxygen. You can grab it as a household spray or get the concentrate for heavier-duty jobs. I actually saw all this on an American Facebook page dedicated to Lysol disinfection.

I'm going to give it a shot and let you all know how it goes.

Edward Hall and Fabian—honestly, it’s like looking at the same person twice—listen, this Health subforum isn't exactly the place for this kind of nonsense. Using the boards to have a little private conversation just to sneak in an advertisement? I don't think so. You aren't going to pull a fast one on us here, and frankly, you won't get away with it either—and I mean YOU specifically!
Edit: the user formerly known as Lysol has also been permanently banned.
