So, I recently met this guy who’s actually pretty interesting—got his own baggage and a weird way of thinking, but he’s mostly normal. I went all out to get him to notice me, and it worked. The catch? A mutual friend just dropped a bombshell on me: apparently, his parents are first cousins. My genetics knowledge is pretty much non-existent, but I know that usually means a higher risk for certain genetic disorders. Can anyone tell me what kind of issues we're talking about here, or what the actual odds are? Is it even possible for him to be perfectly healthy? I could really use some clarity on this.
Thanks 🙂
