Orange finger?

Help!😢

Just noticed my right index finger turned this weird orange/yellow/brown color. It goes halfway down the finger, but only on the top side—if I flip my palm over, everything looks totally fine...

What even is this??? Should I be freaking out?😕

I was holding a cigarette with that hand pretty much all night, so maybe it’s just that? But then again, my other fingers look perfectly normal...
It looks seriously morbid, like someone literally grafted half of someone else's finger onto mine....

Can someone please tell me what the hell this is before my mom has a heart attack seeing what my hand looks like ....

Just grab a slice of lemon and scrub it in there really good. It should help lighten things up. If you just keep at it a few more times throughout the day, that orange stain on your finger will be history🙂

It might be easy to overlook when you're just thinking about cigarettes. But for your index finger—usually the right one, assuming you're a righty—it’s actually quite distinct, specifically that upper section. You might think it looks particularly orange, but I suppose that yellowish tint is just what happens when those specific shades start to set in. I'm speaking from direct experience here, as I was a long-term smoker myself until recently.😉
