For instance, I suffer from a specific condition and have been prescribed a certain medication in pill or capsule form to be taken at regular intervals throughout the day. Ridiculous.
Now, my question is this: when I actually begin this "therapy" (starting the medication for the first time), should I take a double dose for that initial hit, then revert to the standard prescription later? Or should I simply stick strictly to the prescribed dosage from the very beginning until the end?
*= Just thinking out loud >> since my condition causes a deficiency in whatever this drug provides, wouldn't a larger initial dose be necessary to compensate, followed by standard doses just to maintain those levels until I recover?
