Draft beer recommendations?

I’m honestly not sure which sub this belongs in, so I’ll let the moderators decide where to move it. Anyway, here’s the deal:
A friend of mine mentioned something that sounds completely absurd to me. He claims he can strike a deal with a major local brewery (under Anheuser-Busch InBev) to have them install a draft beer system—and that he’d actually end up paying 30 $0.00...
To me, that just doesn't make any sense. I mean, I guess I'm wondering why anyone would even do that? Why would someone pay out of pocket just to have a specific brand's tap installed?
What kind of terms would even exist for something like that—if it's even a real thing?

Just asking for information, really, since I couldn't find anything about this online and it's been bugging me.

Perhaps we are looking at a variation of the classic espresso machine loophole... you receive the equipment at no upfront cost, provided you sign a contract committing to purchase all your beans from that specific supplier for a set duration.

And then they go and throw $10 into the mix on top of it all. I honestly can't fathom the logic behind it, but I suppose if that's how they want to play it, 🤷 fine by me.
