Is it actually possible to just walk into an ER, tell them what you need—like, "hey, I need a tooth pulled"—and then ask to stay anonymous while agreeing to pay whatever they end up charging you?

Not really. Your best bet is just finding a private clinic.

Okay, but there's a catch. If things get messy at a private clinic, they just end up shipping you off to a hospital to deal with it... so it isn't really what I was looking for...
So there's basically zero chance I can pull this off as John Doe...
