The songs are alright, but everything they do feels like a carbon copy—not just the lyrics, but the music too... 🙄

Power metal is my go-to when it comes to metal styles. I listen to a ton of different bands in the genre, including Dragonforce, though they aren't exactly my favorite. Don't get me wrong—they’re incredibly talented musicians—it's just that after a while, they start to feel a bit exhausting. It feels like they're constantly redlining; there's just so much speed and those long, drawn-out solos can get a little tedious if you've been listening for too long.

Through The Fire and Flames is a masterpiece; everything else is just a cheap imitation...

I feel like Herman might be seriously overestimating what he can actually pull off. That’s probably why I’m not a huge fan of this band; the studio tracks sound awesome, but live? It’s just a disaster.

While it is definitely power metal, I feel like they might have overdone it; even bands like Stratovarius and Helloween play power metal, yet they don't all rely on the same repetitive subject matter.

It’s honestly kind of a bummer how out of tune they are... I was watching some clips online of them playing, and man, they just can't stay in key! It feels like there are so many bands nowadays who don't seem to grasp the whole idea that recording stuff in a studio is pointless if you can't even come close to recreating that sound live in front of a crowd. Plus, a lot of their tracks follow the exact same formula—same arrangements, and the lyrics? Not exactly groundbreaking either... I mean, unknown and Herman are both killer guitarists (if that's how you spell it...), but maybe they haven't quite reached that level where they can actually pull off what they nail in a controlled studio environment once they step onto a stage. On top of all that, they’re missing that certain *something*—you know, that spark most modern metal bands lack while the old-school legends have mostly lost it... that edge, that grit, that specific philosophy they push through their music... Regardless, Dragonforce is still a great band to me; I love listening to them because that polished, high-speed precision somehow makes up for all those other flaws.
