Hey everyone.

So, my nostrils have been incredibly dry over the last few days. It’s actually gotten to the point where they’re bleeding internally and stinging a bit. Every time I blow my nose, there’s some dried blood. I’ve been dabbing a little honey inside to soothe the burning sensation, which helps, but what do you guys think is causing this? Any tips on how to prevent it?

P.S. It’s nothing major and doesn't look too bad at first glance, but I'm curious about the cause. I haven't changed any of my daily habits, and I haven't even been out in the wind lately. Generally speaking, I'm pretty healthy—no coughing, no sneezing, no flu or anything like that.

The heating finally kicked in—they cranked it up once the temperature dropped a few degrees the other day. My advice? Put some small bowls of water on your radiators and grab one of those Sea Spray bottles to use regularly.
Also, make sure you're drinking plenty of water; that should help too.

Yeah, it’s probably just dehydration. Thanks, ironsurfer8.
But honestly, I don’t get why some people seem to feel it way more intensely than others. Is it really just about not drinking enough water? Or is there something else going on here?

Honestly, Sea Spray by Galen is my absolute lifeline whenever this kind of stuff hits. Since it isn't an antibiotic, you can use it as often as you need throughout the day without any issues. It’s specifically designed to hydrate your nasal passages when they're irritated from allergies, colds, or whatever else is going around, and let me tell you—it actually works perfectly.👍

I agree. It’s a solid product.
A nasal ointment helps too... it's called NISITA, made by a German company. Give it a shot.👍

Man, I’m dealing with the exact same thing. It’s definitely that dry heat from the furnace.
I’ve got two massive bowls of water sitting on every single radiator in the house, and I even turned the one in my bedroom off completely, but yeah, every winter is just like this. Honestly, it feels like it was even worse last year, though maybe that's just because I wasn't staying as hydrated? Anyway, Sea Spray is a total lifesaver for me... you seriously have to give that a shot!

So, I’ve been using this Estée Lauder spray along with some Vaseline. Things were actually looking up for a few days, but today? Total regression. It’s back to square one. Now it’s actually stinging and bleeding on me. There are two massive heating pads sitting on the radiator right now—though, honestly, maybe that's just because I've been holed up in my room all day.
I think I’m going to pick up some Vaseline ointment and see if that does the trick.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
By the way, does anyone know which essential oils might help out here? Maybe something good for inhalation or something similar?
