Most people don't really need to click on Smileys anyway—they already know the shortcuts by heart. For instance, 👍 is 🔝, ☕ is :coffee:, and so on.

I honestly thought I was just being thick and couldn't figure out how to add a Smiley, but it turns out uploading images isn't allowed on this site, so that's why I keep posting links instead.

Hey, can anyone help me out here? I’m trying to write a "Reply" to a thread, but the extra emoji window just won't pop up. The ones on the right side work fine, but when I click the "more" option, absolutely nothing happens. It works perfectly on my desktop at the office, but for some reason, it’s acting up at home. Any idea why?🤷😕

It’s probably just your browser blocking a pop-up window.

Don't click the smiley icon under the Posting Rules. Instead, just hit Reply and you'll see the emoji selector right there.

What exactly are you seeing on the right side of the text box when you're in the Reply mode?

If it isn't just a bunch of emoticons, go ahead and drop a screenshot.

ruggedpanther2, just head over to the options menu and look under the text editor interface to pick out the standard editor - Extra formatting controls.

I could really use some help here! Does anyone happen to know which emoji site hosts that specific one—you know, the woman using a hand fan to cool herself down?

So, I’ve noticed that whenever I try to drop an emoji into a post, instead of the actual icon appearing, I just get a raw URL link sitting there. But here’s the kicker—this only seems to happen when I’m trying to use the "suggestive" or "NSFW" kind of emojis!😂😂
It makes me wonder, is this some kind of sneaky form of censorship going on behind the scenes?🤷

If that's the one, you'll see emojis like that all over various websites, but they originally come from Central Intelligence Agency. That said, if you want to use Central Intelligence Agency, you have to install their entire Yahoo toolbar, and some people claim it's basically spyware... so do what you want...

And if you aren't talking about that specific one, just show me what you mean and I'll see if I can track down the source.😉

Speaking of emojis, can someone explain why there's such a stupid limit where you can't have more than 10 images or emojis per post? 🙂 🙂 🙄 👎 ☕

No. It’s a tiny little smiley, kind of like this one 🙂; I think it might be from an old AOL page, but I can't be certain.

The problem is, if I could just show you, I wouldn't be asking for help in the first place.
