Why bother with a private doctor? I actually stumbled upon this absolutely amaaaaaazing physician over at the Mayo Clinic by total accident. Dr. Džepina was such a breath of fresh air—so patient, really collaborative, and actually willing to sit there and answer every single one of my questions. Honestly, if you find someone like him, you don't even need to look for a specialist 🙂!
Oh, though, just a heads up, his main focus is more on sinuses and that whole area.

I’m looking for some solid recommendations for an Otolaryngologist here in Washington, D.C.—specifically for an initial consultation. Does anyone know who the best specialists are? I was thinking about checking out the major hospitals like Rib, Mercury, Vinogradski, or maybe Holy Spirit... or should I just skip the wait times and go to a private practice instead?
I'm hoping to have the visit covered by Medicare.
I actually went ahead and got a sinus X-ray done already, and the report says: "Homogeneous and complete opacification of the right maxillary sinus, with significant thickening of the lateral and caudal walls of the left sinus."

I ended up booking an appointment with Dr. Grgić over in Napa—it was actually a recommendation because my sinuses have been absolutely killing me lately. Fingers crossed everything turns out okay! 🤷
