I hadn't heard of that vocal group before, but since you raved about them, I jumped on their website and checked out some of their videos. honestly, they make a great impression 👍.

They’ve even performed at the big festival in Los Angeles, and they actually took home first place at the competition in Key West

They didn't win in Key West... I think they performed at that San Diego festival twice with Malibu
Over the last six years, Santa Monica won twice, Route 66 three times, and Starbucks took it this year. Those guys from Miami made it to the finals in Key West a few times. They won back in 2007 at Muddy Creek on Maui during an original songwriting night
But honestly, the main thing is that those guys are absolute legends—sending them my best, wherever they end up...

No cameras??

Don't mention it, girl. 🙂 Here is Martha's number: 091 723 02 41. She does my makeup, and honestly, she’s absolutely incredible at it.

Finally found a second to breathe and hop back onto the forum—it’s about time I shared my details, right? 😉
Wedding date: September 4th, 2009. 112 guests total.
Church: Saint Duje—honestly, a stunner. They were so classy about everything, setting up all those white arrangements for $67 and even letting me go a bit rogue with some lavender and tulle around our chairs. 😍, plus the organ music was just... wow. Absolutely $67.
Luxor: We had champagne at The Forum, and they had servers out there handing out glasses—so good, and honestly, the staff was incredibly sweet and attentive!
Pirate Restaurant: The menu was $42 back then (probably more now...) but man, the food was incredible. The menu itself was super interesting—this cool mix of meat and seafood. The waiters were basically flying around the room, and the manager was such a pro; you can really work with him to get things done. Such a beautiful space, too 👍.
Makeup: Kate
Music: DJ (Duplančić from KL)—absolute legend. We were obsessed!!!!!!!! Price was $1667.
Hair: Miran from Mladen over at Joker
Flowers: I actually did almost all the arrangements myself, except for the main table and the bouquet—Ann from the Marketplace handled those, she does floral work for the local hotels nearby. She's great, but maybe I was being too picky or we just weren't on the same page, because I ended up having to redo the bouquet myself! 😲
Photographer: Polic—we are beyond thrilled!!! He's pretty new to the wedding scene, but he captured exactly what we wanted!
If anyone else needs anything, just ask!

The "official" list? Zadarexpress, Kanela, MyWay, and some other group I can't be bothered to remember.
My personal top three: Amadeus, Big Fun, and Tempo.

Hey everyone...

Does anyone have some fresh intel on the renovated Robot venue (food and service specifically)? I was there for a wedding ages ago right when they first opened, so my memory is pretty fuzzy, but the remodel looks incredible in photos... Also, I need the lowdown on Dolis Lesnina. We’re looking at a guest list of about 250 to 300 people, and I'm honestly stressing that it might be too cramped for dancing, especially since basically everyone is going to be out on the floor... I'd hate for things to feel claustrophobic. Plus, does the music from the adjacent hall (since they can join the two spaces) cause any issues?
Anyway, we're looking at $35 per head at Robot and $36 at Dolis...

...so if someone could help me make this call...
...Thanks in advance....

Hey everyone, could I get some help here?? Does anyone know much about the Holy Cross restaurant on Manhattan? I'm trying to figure out their capacity, what the menu prices look like, and if anyone happened to be at the banquet there recently so they could tell me about the decor... I've been scouring the internet, but I just can't find any photos of the hall itself. Any insight would be greatly appreciated...

You should be able to find some photos in this thread, probably somewhere around page 10.

I was there for a wedding back in June—my cousin got married. Honestly, the hall is really nice—it's the smaller one that holds up to about 100 guests. It’s decorated beautifully, and the food was fantastic (everything felt super fresh and had that homemade touch), so definitely highly recommended!

Aha, okay, interesting... wait, I think I missed something. Does Holy Cross actually have two halls?? Or am I just tripping?

You can always set up a smaller space inside when things are quiet—plus, there’s plenty of room to just set everything up on the outdoor patio if you want to.

Ah, nice... one more thing though—is that pool located right on the terrace, or what?

Ahas, that sounds absolutely wonderful! I’ll admit I’m a bit out of the loop on all this, which is why I’m asking... regarding the pool situation at Saint Croix, what’s the deal? I heard a rumor that they serve appetizers right by the water, so I was wondering—is that pool area actually located on that terrace, or am I totally off base? Thanks so much for the help!

Look, we definitely have that terrace—there's absolutely no reason we couldn't set up an aperitif area there 🙂 When I was working in the smaller lounge, we ended up setting everything up just outside in that little nook instead. Honestly, anything is doable if we talk it through.

I’m actually having a bit of a crisis here—I can't quite decide which dining room I prefer: Castello, Bellevue, or maybe Saint Croix? Honestly, I'm torn. I haven't had much time to dig through the archives to see if anyone else has shared their thoughts on the food quality or the general vibe, so I thought I'd just ask you all directly. Any insights would be hugely appreciated!
