Anthony Alvarez7 said:Hey everyone, quick question—does anyone know where I can rent some tall flower stands for floral arrangements here in San Francisco? If you happen to have a contact number or a cell phone handy for a local rental shop, that would be amazing! Thanks so much...

I find myself quite curious about this matter as well; does anyone happen to have any insight?

Where might one go to find truly exceptional pastries and cakes? I would be most grateful if you could offer some guidance or recommendations

provided they aren't just standard grocery store brands like Entenmann's, Hostess, or Little Debbie

Maybe try a local bakery, something high-end like Magnolia Bakery, or just stick to those classic American dessert spots...

You might try Rose over in the Unknown area—though I'm not sure what the situation is with Unknown in the suburbs, whether they just sell the equipment or offer rentals too...

Goodness, I truly cannot get enough of that delicious confection; my heart is still absolutely full from such a sweet indulgence!

Where exactly is this "creme de la creme" everyone keeps raving about? I must confess, I have searched high and low, yet I have never once encountered them in my travels through the market.🤷

Does anyone happen to be familiar with the current operating hours for Ira? I recall hearing that they used to stay open until 4:00 PM, but I am feeling a bit uncertain as to whether they might have extended their schedule to include the entire day.

DJ LETO
DJ ALAN MORNAR
DJ DAMIR DUPLANČIĆ
DJ PECO
DJ ZORAN FLIES

Thanks so much...
🙂

This first set is likely provided by Let’s DJ. To be perfectly honest, we had originally planned on hiring a live band—it never even crossed my mind to go the DJ route because I just pictured a full ensemble performing. However, once we were actually at the reception and heard the way he was spinning the tracks, everything just clicked. We realized right then and there that a band wouldn't compare to this energy; we immediately decided that a DJ was exactly what we needed.

The absolute best of the best—if you even want to call it that—is right there in town. You know the spot, near the old movie theater by that little walkway, just steps away from the bookstore... their pastries and cakes are unreal.

Thanks! Now that I know exactly where they are, I realize I had absolutely no idea you could actually order them for a catered event.

Kyle Young3 said:Regarding California... I recently saw some photos from an old friend's shoot, and honestly, I was speechless at how TERRIBLE they were! There is no way I’d ever pay for that. You don't need to be some high-end pro to see it's garbage. On top of that, she waited nearly six months just to get them back. Who is even shooting out there? It's awful. And considering how much people shell out for these photographers for a single day's work, shouldn't everything be top-tier and delivered on time?

I wouldn't go so far as to say the work is terrible, but I can definitely confirm they aren't very professional... specifically regarding that six-month wait to actually get the job finished...

Hey there!
Does anyone have any intel on the event space at the Hilton in San Diego? I'm trying to figure out what their pricing looks like and if the venue is actually worth booking.

They're open until 5 PM... honestly, it's a bit of a ridiculous schedule for anyone with a standard job—but at least they pushed it to 5. They used to close at 3, then they moved it to 4... now it's 5. If they keep shifting the goalposts like this, it might take me another 2 or 3 years just to find the time to visit Ira.🤣>

Hey everyone 🙂, I’ve been scrolling through half this forum, but there is basically zero info on San Diego. So, here’s the deal: I need recommendations for a florist and a bakery (specifically for a cake). Honestly, they don't strictly have to be based in San Diego, provided the delivery fees aren't so insane that it ends up costing the same anyway...
Also, what do you guys think—is it smarter to buy my own supplies and just drop them off at a local print shop for the actual printing, or should I just hand everything over to a pro and let them handle the whole project from scratch?
Thanks 😉

It’s just us. 😁They were super happy with Andor from Miami, though the florist wasn't quite up to par. You might want to check the search tool within this thread to find some better recommendations. 🙂

Hey, I'm curious about the Volare band. What’s their vibe like? I’ve seen some clips online and they seem like they really know how to get a crowd going. Also, does anyone have an idea of the price range at Studio Papaja? 🙂I've been following their photos on Facebook for a while now, and honestly, I'm obsessed. 😁

Does anyone happen to have any intel on photo studios over in San Francisco? I've been looking into Papaja, Studio Jukica, and Studio Smiliti lately... just curious if anyone has some actual experiences to share, thanks 🙂

How much are we talking for their fees? And does that price cover all the extra bells and whistles, like the balloon stuff, smoke machines, and other little extras?

As far as I know, the Let 400 e package is fully inclusive of everything, though I can't speak to the specifics of the other options.
