Thanks so much... we haven't even settled on a venue yet... man, if I had any idea this was going to be such an uphill battle 😛......how much more work is actually left in this process?

I mean, I get it. Once you've scooped everything up, there's just this long stretch where nothing actually happens...😁

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to pick up a wedding cake? I was thinking maybe Bobis, Delta, or Viadel...

It's true, it feels kind of pointless... 🙄 I wonder how much longer until October 5th 😍
or at least when we can start sending out invitations 🙂

😁 Just share the news as early as you can. At least tell the younger crowd ahead of time—tell the older folks in person first, then send a "formal" invite if you're actually going. Get it done a month or two in advance. Those invitations absolutely wiped me out; I felt like I spent my entire summer just traveling from one house to another. 🙄

I’m trying to figure out which band, accordion player, guitarist, and photographer I should hire for my wedding in San Diego... so please, if any of you have some insight, I could really use a little help here!

Thanks so much

I’d love to just get this all over with right now, just so I can feel like I’m actually making progress...🤣
Also, let me ask you—roughly how many invites would I need for about 160 people?

feralsurfer3 I sent out 82 invitations for a group of 150 people, and I ended up getting 105 thank-you notes back. 😉

It can't hurt to do it early. If you wait too long, you'll always have those people who end up getting annoyed. 😁

The real question is whether you're mostly inviting families (one invite per family), couples (one per pair), or singles (one per person). Roughly speaking, if you split it down the middle, 80 shouldn't be enough, but it's best to just write everything down and count them up manually.

Does anyone happen to have a contact number for pre-marital counseling classes in San Diego or maybe Los Angeles?
I managed to find some numbers listed on the Archdiocese website, but I've been calling for two weeks now and haven't been able to get anyone to pick up the phone.

thanks

So, you just show up whenever it's convenient for you, huh?

Where are you, man? Where's our list? 🙂

Here’s the 2013 course schedule and their contact number at the link below

Check the parish office hours first before you call. As far as I know, they're only open for a few hours a day...

What do you mean "whenever it suits me"? You asked for the list, so here it is... I posted it on the bulletin board—just copied what was there. I'm not exactly lurking online all day...😉

If your wedding in June is scheduled, just show up a month or two early... Basically, check this list to see when the dates are, then head over during the month you decided on (maybe arrive about 20 minutes before the actual time because they need to get you registered). You get your confirmation on the final day and that's that! It's painless.
There is absolutely no need to call ahead! 🙂

No heads-up needed—just get there around 7:30. Don't bother coming earlier. Head down the stairs to the ground floor... sign in there and you're good to go.
