The reality is simply that the food at Phoenix is terrible, whereas over at Dolisa, it's actually much better.

I have to agree with that. I haven't actually spent any time at Dover so I can't really speak to their setup, but I've been to Phoenix twice now. Honestly, neither the vibe of the dining area nor the quality of the food really did it for me...

David King72 said:Mis-Cura is fine, I guess, but nothing to write home about... they talk way more than they actually get done. Personally, I find them pretty exhausting because they just drone on and on, and frankly, I don't have the patience for people like that.

I have to agree with that. A close friend of mine hired her to do the bridal bouquet, the bridesmaid flowers, and the decor for the head table at the venue. Honestly, she did a decent job decorating the hall itself. My friend specifically asked for a bouquet with various types of flowers in pink tones. She even sent over reference photos of exactly what she wanted, but the florist ended up making this beautiful bouquet of pink roses—which was lovely, don't get me wrong—but it wasn't what she actually asked for. On top of that, we had an agreement that I would receive one fresh flower bracelet and one artificial one as the maid of honor, but she only provided the artificial one while still charging us the full amount we originally agreed upon...

So, does anyone here actually have any firsthand experience working with TNT?

I’m honestly feeling a bit stuck on what to do next. I really have my heart set on having a table in the hall that looks absolutely lush and beautifully decorated, but everywhere I turn, people are telling me that those kinds of floral arrangements end up looking way too somber—almost like something you'd see at a funeral home. It’s such a dilemma because I want elegance, not gloom, so I’m curious to hear what you all think about it.

I can't really speak for TNT. Your best bet is just to hit up every vendor you're interested in and compare their rates and packages side by side. As for those arrangements where things seem to fall apart... honestly, that’s all down to personal taste, and if that's how you want to do it, then go for it. People are always going to find something to gamble on regardless. Personally, I don't get the whole "it looks like a funeral" association, but hey, people are weird. I actually had this massive headache with a friend of mine who was getting married on the exact same day as me, and we just couldn't see eye to eye on the church decor. I suggested we compromise by picking one of my colors—purple—and one of hers, maybe white or cream, so we could both be happy. But she shut me down immediately, saying she didn't want purple because she and her fiancé agreed it was strictly a color for funerals. Even the priest at our pre-marital counseling class said the same thing, insisting everything should be decorated in nothing but white. Did I listen to him? Of course not. At the end of the day, it's my wedding, and I'll decide whether I even want to decorate at all. Picking out a color palette isn't exactly a crystal ball for whether a marriage will succeed or fail. I wasn't too surprised by my friend's reaction, though—she's always been a bit narrow-minded—but the superstition from that priest really caught me off guard...

Honestly, I have no clue when it comes to TNT,
but if you’ve got the drive, my advice would be to just DIY some of those pieces, like the reveres,
unless you can track down an independent freelancer, which is usually way cheaper; those big-name, high-end florists in the city charge a fortune and often miss the mark because they're too busy rushing through orders on a busy holiday.

And as for people telling you your floral arrangements look like something out of a funeral home? Just make what you actually like... why on earth would you listen to them?

I just booked Tina Kalinić! So many people have been raving about her, and honestly, looking at her Facebook profile and all the models she’s worked on, I am totally obsessed with her style.
Besides her, you’ve got Ivana Češljar (she's on Facebook too). From what I've heard from the other girls, they also mention names like Ana Benzon, Lucija Spajić, and Nada Gamulin.

Ivana Češljar,

Thanks a million, ladies! 😍

I’m telling you, Ivana Češljar and Tina Kalinić are absolutely killing it! I’ve already seen a few of my buddies get their look done by them, and the results are seriously impressive. 👍

Got another recommendation from Zrinka, so let's see what's up!

Bottom line: I'm gonna call them one by one and see which one actually picks up! 👍

When it comes to hair, I’m dying for someone who actually gets the vibe and has the guts to pull off a short cut. Honestly, I’ve thought about DIY-ing a look with some accessories, maybe a headband or something, but there's one huge problem: I have no clue what kind of hair disaster I'll wake up to or which direction my hair is going to decide to go in that morning! 😬

Have you checked out the Jazz Hair Studio website yet? I know for a fact they've posted some photos of short styles there.

Has anyone been to the expo at Lava lately? Any new vendors showing up? I honestly wouldn't bother going if it's just the same old crowd you see at the Radisson. I managed to snag a wedding discount over at Glamour Spose there, so if anyone else has found some good deals today at Lava, let me know.

I went yesterday, and man, this expo is night and day compared to the one at the Radisson.
There’s way more variety too—florists, bakeries, jewelers, lighting, makeup... plus Vesna Spose is doing 30% off right now!

I think LA PERLA is set up at the mall right now, and I believe they’re offering something like a 20% discount. There’s someone else exhibiting too, but I wasn't really paying close attention to the names since I already sorted out my wedding dress situation.🙂
Where are you all planning to get your desserts? Has anyone tried those treats from the bakery near the outskirts of town—the ones that say "Absum LLC makes homemade sweets"? Does anyone know if they're actually good? Or does anyone have recommendations for great homemade cookies or really delicious cakes??😁

P.S. I was absolutely obsessed with the brittle from that little pastry shop down by the marina, though I completely forgot to ask what the prices were like.

We actually tried those cookies from Karlovčan—they were super, super delicious—but honestly, they felt a little pricey to me. 😉

Does anyone know where I can find wholesale flower suppliers in San Francisco or the surrounding area?
I heard there might be some options over at FedEx, and I also came across a company online called Šarić...
Has anyone here actually bought flowers in bulk for making arrangements before?
If you have—how far in advance should I place an order, what are the prices usually like, and is there a minimum amount I have to buy?

Thanks, Noah Wright4 😉
I assume they sell to individuals too, not just big companies...

I really hope it doesn't
The whole concept is still pretty much in its infancy 🙂 I'm definitely a DIY kind of person—I handle just about everything myself—except for baking cakes, obviously 😁
thanks!

So, we’ve finally pulled the trigger and decided to host the wedding in a small town outside of Austin... mainly because we have guests traveling quite a distance, so we figured we should at least be close to the I-35 🙂🤷

I’m looking for some solid recommendations—should we go with Dolis, Lesnina, or Fenix? I haven't actually been to any of them... HELP ME OUT 🙂. We’re expecting about 150 guests max... what would you suggest? For me, the absolute dealbreaker is the food; it needs to be plentiful and actually taste good...

Google 😍

Walmart, hands down!!!!!
I've been there for several barbeques and family celebrations, and the food and service always get nothing but rave reviews.

Can anyone recommend a good vocal group to perform in front of a church and during dinner? I'm looking for someone to cover the slot from about 5:30 PM until 1:00 AM.
