Hey everyone, has anyone here ever actually picked up one of those Rakijici vouchers as a thank-you gift? I’m totally lost on where to find them—I remember seeing them floating around at trade shows and expos, but I don't have a single flyer or brochure left in my house to look up the details... does anyone know the deal? Thanks!

I honestly haven't seen any pre-made ones for sale lately, but if you ask me, it's such a waste of money to buy them ready-to-go when you can just whip something up yourself for way less cash... I'm planning on making my own stuff, maybe some scented candles or even those cute little honey jars, something like that, because it just feels so much more special...

Well, hey there—my friend from France actually went with tiny rosaries as wedding favors instead, and honestly, it was such a hit. She even had their initials put on them in these cute little gift bags. For me, it was a beautiful keepsake—I think a lot of people really cherish those kinds of things. They're the one souvenir from a wedding that people actually hold onto. If you want, I can try to track down who she bought hers from, but I think she mentioned they were around $3.25 each. To me, it's just a perfect little memento.

A few thoughts on the food from the Bolero hall (Saturday, April 11, 2015)—well below average... the prosciutto, cheese, and French selection were just okay—nothing special. As for the risotto, it was clear the chefs have an obsession with salt, and the rice itself was undercooked—not al dente, just raw. The beef medallions? A total DISASTER—way too salty and completely inedible. The lamb... well, almost everything else was a letdown. Luckily, the desserts were brought in from an outside vendor.

When asked why the food was too salty, the waiter just replied—"my hand slipped..." hahaha.

Was it just a bad day for them—or... they won't be seeing me ever again.

Does anyone happen to have a contact email for Bobis? I'm wondering if they're even still in business.

I am looking into getting some croquants made. My partner and I are interested in a slightly more unique shape than what you usually see, so I wanted to reach out and see what their offerings look like. Based on some recommendations from other women on this forum, I reached out to Zenit—I've heard nothing but glowing reviews about them from all directions. I spoke with them to explain my idea, and they were very easy to deal with; nothing too complicated, and they confirmed it's doable... though the price was 🙂 ... quite high. So, I'm currently gathering a few different quotes to compare...

Aside from Bobis, Bimita, Mediterranean, and Zenit, does anyone know of any other places that make croquants in the greater San Francisco area?🤔

I actually dropped by Zenit myself and the price tag totally floored me, though I did hear that Viadel is awesome and way more budget-friendly than the rest... they do croquante too... so I definitely need to check them out...

Hey everyone, I could use some help here. Has anyone actually eaten at Poljud Restaurant lately? It’s one of my top three picks for a pizza party next year, but I haven't been able to get much intel on the food quality or the service staff so far... If you could weigh in, I’d really appreciate it.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent spot to grab a drink near the cathedral where the prices won't completely drain my wallet? 🙂

I can't speak for this year specifically, but when I went last year, the venue was super nice, the food was great, and the servers were really helpful, though honestly, I ended up picking imenjak for my own big celebration because it's just better... the food there is absolutely killer, it's just a shame they can't fit a ton of people in there.

I looked into Imenjak too, but my guest list is over 200 people. I’m worried about it getting way too crowded, so I was leaning toward Robot instead. Thanks so much for the input.

No worries at all... though I definitely think 200 is pushing it, because I heard 180 is actually the sweet spot, and once you hit 200 you might lose those nice round table setups, but hey, someone else will probably chime in about the robot and give you a better idea, and personally, I had a great time there too..

I actually found it... If anyone else is hunting for Bobis, they still have a website, though Google seems to have buried it deep in the search results.🤦

Hey there... Honestly, you really shouldn't worry about capacity issues at the Robot venue. You can comfortably fit 250 people in there without any trouble, leaving plenty of breathing room between the tables and a massive dance floor. If you're looking for venues that can handle a crowd of that size without breaking a sweat, I'd suggest checking out Robot, Hotel Duilovo, or the Poljud Restaurant (operated by pleter usluga). If you haven't toured them yet, it might be worth a look; they are all miles ahead of anything like a bolero, those random halls out in Dugopolj, or whatever else you might find. You truly can't go wrong with any of them.👍

Honestly, the food at Robot is better than what you'd find at Imenjak or anywhere else in Dugopolj... though I suppose it doesn't quite reach the heights of Duilov or Pleter. That said, it’s perfectly fine—actually, if I'm being somewhat objective (though taste is such a fickle thing), I’d say it’s better than your average fare.

Does anyone else have any intel on the concessions or food service at the robot arena?

Anyone got some ideas for a cool spot to do a photoshoot? Somewhere that isn't right in the middle of downtown San Francisco... thanks!
