Expensive 😲
We’re footing the bill for $10,000—that includes all the staff, plus our own food and drinks. Sure, the ship is docked in a smaller city, but even so 🤷

Wait, how many people were we talking about again?

That’s just the venue fee—it can hold about 350 people, maybe even 400 if you open up the extra section to expand the space. As for my plans? I'm looking at a crowd of roughly 200.

We definitely overspent on the venue, but honestly, what can you do when you fall in love at first sight? I figured I'd just balance things out by being really careful with the budget for the flowers, invitations, and thank-you notes, plus my mom is taking over the dessert situation, so hopefully, everything levels out in the end.

And what about yours?
I agree—if you stay mindful of certain details, everything should turn out just fine in the end.😉
Is Mickey going to be handling the thank-you notes for you?
My uncle works at a local print shop, so he’ll be knocking out my invitations in the next few days. They probably won't look exactly how I originally envisioned them—but then again, it's just an invitation, isn't it? Most people will likely glance at it once and toss it in the bin anyway.🤷 We managed to save at least fifty bucks this way.🙂

Ours is over $6667 with the servers, cooks, chairs, and chair covers for about 220 people since they charge per seat. We're planning to bring our own food and drinks too, so we'll save a decent chunk of change there. A friend of mine owns a print shop, so we'll give her some business, but we haven't quite decided what the invites will look like yet🙂 You've got a point, and honestly, I used to think... about how the thank-you notes and invites just sit around, but now I'm thinking about putting them all in one big memory album instead of leaving them scattered about. What do you think about Mickey doing the thank-you notes? If you mean printing photos, then yeah, definitely.

Yes, they’re going to make some pictures for us too. All we have to do is write "Thank You" on them along with our names and the date. The girls will just pop them into envelopes and that’ll be that—which, honestly, works perfectly fine for me. 🙂

hahaha we actually told him the same thing, to just put the names and dates right on the photos 😂 so I don't have to spend forever handwriting all those thank-you notes 🙂 and we can just keep the cards themselves pretty simple, though I gotta say, your idea about using the envelopes isn't half bad either.

Does anyone happen to know someone who rents out tents?
I'm looking for something small—just a temporary setup to put out in front of my building when they come to pick me up..

you could check out Party Rental Co., but they’re pretty pricey (a tent for like 50-80 people is $833!!!)
if you want something more reasonable, try looking for Mickey, he's way better suited for this and has plenty of white tents in stock. i think you could probably get him to do a 100-person setup for about $167...👍

Does anyone know where I can find a silver wedding dress for rent in Orlando or somewhere in the Midwest? Every shop in Orlando only carries white or champagne.

Over at Isabell's bridal boutique, they’ve got this stunning silver-rimmed wedding gown...

Does anyone know a truly talented makeup artist in the Phoenix area? Or maybe someone willing to travel to my place if they're up for it?

I’m genuinely stumped. Honestly, I haven't seen a single bride who actually looked great—at least not at any weddings I've attended lately. It's always one of three things: either the makeup is way too heavy, they look washed out, or there's just far too much glitter...

If you're looking at the Salo Classic for a group of up to 300 people, the price comes out to $3000, though keep in mind you'll have to pay extra for the linens.

Does anyone happen to know the typical cost for a light show in Indianapolis? I saw they had one over by Đeram—I'm just not sure if that was their own setup or if they ended up renting it from someone else. It looked pretty incredible to me, honestly.

Ladies, I have no idea who is handling the floral arrangements around here, but if you value your sanity—just stay far away from Dad. I stopped by yesterday to pick up a bouquet, and frankly, I have never encountered such sheer lack of professionalism in my life. The man’s attitude was so infuriatingly primitive that my blood pressure hit the ceiling; I was practically seeing red. 😠

I had this thin little lady make my bouquet, and honestly, she did an amazing job—both the flowers and the boutonniere for my husband were lovely. Since I was actually planning on becoming a regular client because things went so well, I’d really love to know what happened here so I can decide if I should just cut ties with them for good.

Hey everyone, does anyone here have any firsthand experience with the band Vigor out of Indianapolis?

I just spent some time listening to their tracks and I am honestly blown away... if I were ever in a position to be booking a wedding band, they would absolutely be my first choice... highly recommended!
