Thanks .. maza116
I suppose everyone’s experience varies. Some people love it while others find it totally useless. It probably just comes down to the agreement; if you specify exactly what you want and how much you're willing to pay, I guess it shouldn't be a total bust 🙂

David Ramos25, thank you for the thorough report on the 🙂
I was hesitant, but I think I'll see what she has to offer. I have my eye on those tall, slim vases... though I suspect she doesn't carry them. Everyone I know who shops there seems to own their signature martini glasses...
We spoke already, and she added me to the list, though she suggested I stop by in February.
Did you schedule your visit, or did you just show up on a whim?

Since nobody seems to be taking me seriously... I’m gonna try this one more time. Please, for the love of god, any recommendations for a makeup artist? 🙂 thanks! 😁

I might suggest looking into Dragana at Studio Chic if you happen to be in Indianapolis, though I suppose traveling to see her wouldn't be an issue...

1. Yeah, but does anyone know if I can pick up those reveres at the farmers market in St. Louis?? I have to head through St. Louis anyway on my way down to the Panama Canal Zone...

2. Anyone know someone who does makeup at that local boutique in Indianapolis? Any experiences??

Well, she hadn't even been home for thirty minutes before my brothers managed to sneakily devour both entire boxes! I guess that's a pretty good sign that they're delicious, right?
Now the poor lady is in a total bind because she has absolutely nothing left to bring to the meeting 😂

Heh... sounds to me like those cookies were killer. 🤣

Mark Nguyen11 said:I think Jak is excellent; I already mentioned that in another post. I went in for a consultation and found everything I was looking for. Prices depend on the type and amount of flowers, of course, but she mentioned it rarely goes over $1000. For everything—bouquets, car decor, the hall, the church—the issue is that many couples, like my cousin for example, come in and say "whatever, just make something within this budget," and naturally, it might not turn out as wonderful as it could. But if you tell her exactly what you want and show that you care about the look, I believe she does a much better job. She showed me photos of some of her work and everything looked great. They even do balloon decorations, which look really nice... I liked that.

Other places jack up their prices so high you almost faint when you see the bill. For instance, a colleague paid $567 at one florist for a bouquet and car decor, and it was just roses—not exactly worth that kind of money...

As for that exclusive studio in the area, some people say they are phenomenal, while others say they're just okay. I even heard—though I don't know if it's true—that they don't actually do much of the work themselves, but instead order from others and then resell it under their own brand at a markup.

Well, everyone has their own opinion, and people will choose whatever fits their budget and taste. Personally, I visited the venue where Jaka worked; it was fine, but it felt a bit cheap to me. Way too much greenery and not enough actual flowers. I saw Exclusivity at a trade show and got a recommendation. As for the rumor about them outsourcing? That sounds like nonsense; I have no idea where you heard that. Honestly! I plan on visiting both Jaka and Exclusivity, so we'll see 😁

sun25, I’m getting my makeup done by Mary S. from Old Spice over at the Macy's in Indianapolis. I’ve mentioned this here before—she actually did my makeup when I was a bridesmaid back in the summer of 2010. She’s pretty affordable; her wedding day rates are reasonable, I guess. $33Just a test. $17 That’s how the bar was back then. I should probably head over there sometime this week to book a slot, and then I’ll know for sure. She did makeup for all eight of us on the wedding day, and honestly, it was wonderful. I liked her work so much that I've decided she's doing my makeup for my own wedding too. So, yeah, hopefully that helps. 😉

Supplies in Canada are incredibly cheap. Honestly, I've heard people say Canada is even better, which really peaks my interest. 🙂Apparently, it’s supposedly cheaper than even Canada.👍

Is it even worth driving all the way to Canada or Canada to shop, though? I mean, once you factor in the cost of gas... 🤷
I feel like it might make sense if you live right near the border! But even then, for people living a bit further out... 🤷

Does Exclusivity have a website or anything online? I've been searching everywhere but can't find a single thing. It feels kind of hard to believe, honestly, that in this day and age—when you can basically advertise for free online whenever you want—a business wouldn't have even a basic page or something? It's not like we all live right next door to them and can just pop in!

Why don't you guys just order stuff on eBay? They have everything. Someone was asking about the local flea markets, but I seriously doubt those are worth it. 🤷

edit: here's a decent seller, seems like they carry pretty much everything.

Honestly, it feels way more logical than driving all over the place just to pretend you're saving money $67! 🤷

I follow them on Facebook. They go by "VU Wedding Decor"... and from what I've seen, they run a few ads online here and there. Beyond that, I'm not sure.🤷

I’ve even heard people saying you can order wedding dresses off eBay now. Apparently, they're dirt cheap.

I actually came across some local boutique designers recently and I really love their style, though I guess we'll just have to wait and see how their pricing holds up. 🙂
As for those eBay dresses, there's actually a whole thread on this forum dedicated to online shopping, so you might want to check that out; honestly, I'm thinking about placing an order myself too.

Honestly, I can't remember if she had that specific style. She showed me so much stuff at once that it's all a blur. I’ll probably grab some martini glasses too, but I want to try something different with them—not just the usual flower arrangements.
I called her to ask if I could drop in. When? I told her right then. Within thirty minutes, everything was settled and the deposit was paid. We'll figure out the finer details later.
