goldenmarlin said:Hey everyone. I’m facing a bit of a dilemma regarding which photo studio to book... Should I go with Zoom or Speedy? Price-wise, they’re pretty much neck and neck, so that isn't really my main concern. My real worry is the actual quality of the photos and video work. I’d love some first-hand accounts if possible. If anyone here has actually used either of them, please let me know what you think. Thanks!

If you end up going with Zoom, just make sure to ask if a DVD of your photos is included. I heard they charge extra for it without mentioning it upfront—apparently, it's some excuse about protecting their copyrights!? I even heard they once had three different weddings booked on the exact same day!

Thanks! I actually had no idea about the Zoom situation, so I’ll definitely reach out to them. I’ve checked out their portfolio shots and they seem decent enough, but I’m still a bit skeptical about their DVD quality. I caught a glimpse of a promotional DVD from Speed, and honestly, it wasn't my favorite... though, I suppose they might have some better examples tucked away somewhere. That's why I'm still on the fence.

Greetings, ladies...
So, here is the thing... I have a bit of a question for the group...
Does anyone here happen to have firsthand experience with the Natalie deli in City? Specifically, the one located right off the highway between VK and Tulsa... I am curious about the quality of their service, their pricing, and whether the space itself is comfortable. Thank you all in advance. 😉👋

Has anyone checked out the work by Mario Franov and Christian Petrić lately? What’s the word on them? How was their video?

Thanks, anamaria0811. I'll look into some of those spots you mentioned; they hadn't even crossed my mind.

Man, some really close relatives of mine had their wedding there just a few months ago. And, I guess, my impressions weren't exactly great. I mean, maybe that's why they're constantly advertising that they have free weekends available.
Basically, when they went to get a quote, they were told the price was $5667, but then on Sunday after the wedding, the manager asked for $6333, so it's like they didn't really agree on anything.

As for the food, I don't really know because my relatives brought all the food themselves. But even what was cooked there wasn't, like, super tasty. The soup was lukewarm, the mushroom sauce fillets were just okay... and the lamb was cold!
If you're thinking about having lunch there the next day, you should probably talk to the chef about reheating everything, because lunch there was kind of a disaster. Everything that was cold on Saturday night was, well, even colder on Sunday.

The service is just okay, I guess... You sort of have to nudge the waiters to come over because they just hang out near the kitchen entrance and aren't exactly being super proactive with serving.
And I also heard that the owner might be doing something shady with the drinks since there's a cafe right in front of the hall that stays open on Saturdays while people are having weddings.

All in all, my rating for that place is pretty low!

I haven't watched the video yet, but I did catch a few photos and I think they're pretty cool. They’ve got some solid ideas—it's definitely not your typical boring stuff. Honestly, they were my runner-up choice.

Hey guys! Does anyone happen to know what the going rate is for rosemary per sprig these days? Also, where's the best place to pick some up?

Check out the New York Stock Exchange listings; you can find plenty of postings there, whether you’re looking for spiked or unspiked rosemary... The unspiked ones go for about 40 cents. 🙂

Look, we finally pulled the trigger on Leon Productions because my husband wouldn't stop nagging me about it. Yeah, they charge a premium. They're expensive. But honestly? It's worth every single cent. Everything I've seen from them is absolutely flawless.

Oh, well Super. Is their quote sitting at 14 $0.00? Usually, it’s the wives who insist on the high-end stuff, but you're the exception! Lucky you. 😉 I definitely need to sleep on this decision...

Hmm...don't quote me on this, but I’d guess they’re around $0.33. Honestly though, you might be better off just getting the plain ones and picking up some ribbon to do it yourself. If you happen to be living in Indianapolis, you can grab some really inexpensive ribbon over at Super! 🙂

I don't mind heading out to Indy 😁 where exactly at Walmart should I look? And how much is that ribbon?

So, I just got off the phone with my mom, and she mentioned she picked up some of that ribbon for bottle toppers before. She said she grabbed it at Theaters, and it was about $8.25 meters long! As for the stuff near Superman, I honestly can't remember the length or the price, but it's right there at the Walmart near the parking lot!

You can find some ribbon at Theaters or over at Hobby Lobby—I think they have it $5.75 right there, though I'm honestly not sure if it comes in 10 or 20 meter rolls... They also carry it at Walmart, but those prices are a bit steeper there.

Hey ladies, I was wondering if any of you have used Matthews (Stockton) for wedding catering? I know they do an incredible job with the initial guest reception, but I’m questioning whether they could handle full-service catering for the entire evening—specifically when it comes to serving more complex, multi-course meals. We are currently planning an outdoor wedding, and frankly, I am completely at a loss as to who to contact or where to turn in Stockton for a setup like this. 🤷

I saw the video and it’s killer. They’re cheap because prices in Indianapolis are just like that, but the quality is a solid 10. You probably acted uninterested, which is why they were rude to you, but get this: they are total pros. Honestly, it was likely your mistake... maybe you were nickel-and-diming them or acting like a window shopper, checking every photographer's price list just to find the cheapest one. When you act like that, they don't treat you like a real Customer. Peace.

I'm with Gruber on this one. They treated us pretty unprofessionally and seemed totally indifferent, exactly like you described. We still haven't received our album and their replies are super vague... They definitely left a bad taste in our mouths!
