I'm currently blasting out inquiries for makeup artists, then I'll give the rest of them a call tomorrow... plus hair... pretty sure that's the last thing on my list. Honestly, I should've sorted this ages ago, but you know how it goes... life happens. Now I'm realizing I'm actually running out of time because some of them are already booked up. 🙂

Studio Sofia is located right by the university. Sofia does both makeup and hair for brides, and she's incredibly talented. You definitely need to book ahead; I'm not sure how far in advance.

As for all those little wedding essentials you need when planning an event in Columbus, there's a shop called Freehouse near the train station. They have a great selection and their prices are actually reasonable.

Help

Does anyone have any leads on where I can find the most affordable dry cleaning for a wedding dress? Or even just a general idea of what the going rate is these days?!

Best regards,
I'm actually looking for some formal suits. If you happen to stumble upon anything interesting, please let us know about the prices and their exact location. Just tell us the hall number and everything else!🙂

Good luck!

Has anyone here had any experience with weddings at Kunjevac?

Thanks!

Hey, can you check how much they’re charging for veils if they actually got them—plus the suit prices? We totally missed that last time. Everything's pricier than before, though I guess it’s still cheaper here than back home. I think we were looking at Hall 13 or something—they have two halls, so who knows exactly which one—when we were checking out the decorations and all the wedding stuff. They even had wedding dresses there, but honestly? A bit too "mall-style" for me, haha... not really my vibe (not that I want to offend anyone!). 😁

Found napkins for $3 per 100, and balloons were a steal at $1 for 100. Couldn't find any tulle, though—but hey, I'm sure they'll have it in stock when I head back there this spring.

Thanks for getting back to me! 🙂
Are those napkins just standard ones, or are they the thicker, larger ones (like 16x16)?

Hey everyone!

I’ve been lurking on this forum for a while now, but I finally decided to officially sign up.
There is so much great info being shared here, so I wanted to see if anyone has worked with the photographers over at Memphis Studio 69?

Any insight would be awesome!!

I just attended a rehearsal dinner there recently, not an actual wedding. As far as the food goes, it was decent—served hot, and they kept refilling everything throughout the night. I’ll be blunt: they were a little stingy with the portions, but it was fine... you get what you pay for when it comes to the entertainment.🙂 The hall itself is alright, though the tables felt way too cramped, the dance floor was tiny, and the restroom was freezing. Everything else was passable. Honestly, I suspect they might put in more effort for a full wedding than they did for this. 😉

Hey ladies 🙂
Does anyone happen to have a gift certificate for Stefania Atelier? I’ve got one for La Spose, but I’m thinking about swapping it. I didn't really see anything I liked over there, I guess. 🙂

They did some photography and video for my friends' weddings... honestly, they were pretty pricey and didn't really blow anyone away. They take on way too many gigs, so you end up waiting forever for your photos. They do music videos (like "General Danger") and weddings, etc. My friends waited months for their pictures and DVDs—maybe even a whole year. There was so much arguing and endless emailing. Apparently, the boss was away, and the crew ended up drinking too much, so they barely took any actual shots. For a while, there was nothing at all, just random photos of people partying rather than the family. The short DVD was actually well-made, about an hour and a half, plus a short highlight clip. The bride was losing her mind trying to get the photo DVD so she could print them herself, but after all those months, the photos weren't even edited yet... nothing. All in all, they get the job done, and maybe they've finally scaled back how much work they take on...

Thanks for the input! I haven't heard much about them personally, mostly just people giving recommendations... but I checked out their Facebook page and watched their short clips, and man, I am LOVING everything I see!
Do you happen to know what their pricing looks like?

It all looks great on paper, but if you don't see any photos for at least six months—and heaven forbid you actually have to ask for a video—it’s a total dealbreaker. Their prices start around $11 $0.00, if not higher.

Brian Grant9 said:Alright, I’m jumping in here too:

Does anyone know if there are any decent sales going on for wedding suits over in Cleveland right now? A buddy was telling me it might be smart to snag a deal at Galileo, but I have no clue if those promos are still live—plus, Cleveland isn't exactly a quick drive for us since we're coming from Brod.

Second thing on my mind: tiaras. Where can I find the cheapest ones, specifically that wider style?

Thirdly: decorating the cars for the guests. We aren't really feeling those tacky, oversized shiny bows, so I'm looking for some better alternatives. Has anyone here actually DIY'd their own unique bows or decorations? If so, where's the best place to grab supplies without getting totally ripped off?

I heard a little while back that they have up to 50% off on suits and other apparel in Indianapolis, out in the Midwest, so there you go... I've never actually been there myself, so I can't speak to the selection or the quality, but I've heard great things since it's an American-made brand.🙂

I'm interested in wedding bands as well.

Does anyone know where I can find a wedding dance class?

Maybe somewhere in the Mississippi area?

Thanks!

Look, they bought me a suit at Microsoft in New York City—way more variety there than you'd find in Indy. Honestly, even if you do head out to Indy, you're better off hitting up Fifth Avenue for anything decent

So, I spent some time today browsing through wedding bands, and honestly, it really just comes down to what kind of weight you're looking for. It’s a bit like choosing a car; you want something that feels substantial but doesn't feel like a brick on your finger. I popped into Tiffany & Co., and they had some beautiful styles around $2667 and one specifically near $2000... though those were quite chunky and heavy-set. Then I swung by Zales, where they had options for about $35,000, but they weren't nearly as thick. I also checked out Pano, and they seemed to be running some discounts... oh, and I stopped by Emmi, which felt like the best value overall; their thicker bands go for about $11667, and they have plenty of women's styles with zirconias. It all really hinges on how much zirconia you pack in there, since that drives the price up. Plus, you can usually negotiate almost anywhere—like if you want something a bit slimmer but with a different pattern, they can often make it happen.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been lurking here for a minute, but I figured it’s finally time to actually jump in and start typing. 🙂
So, anyway, the big wedding is set for September 2014. We’ve been scouting venues around Indianapolis and Des Moines lately, and it got me wondering—has anyone actually held a wedding at the Ivanov estate over in Ivankov? We went to check out the place recently and, honestly, it’s sitting at the top of our list right now.
Also, does anyone know if that famous DJ, Jaka, has a website or a Facebook page? I’ve been searching high and low but haven't found a thing. 🤷
