It’s pretty obvious if you look closely. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway was built right on the remains of a US Air Force airfield from World War II. You can still see the layout. Even at first glance at the track itself....
Thinking back—could we have seen MotoGP races held at Indianapolis if the track hadn't been such a mess a few years ago?

Thirty years ago, Indianapolis was a lightning-fast circuit. Almost nothing but straightaways? Not really. Hardly any high-speed corners at all.
Twenty years ago, Indianapolis was still a damn fast track, with maybe only one or two slow corners.
Today's race at Indianapolis was a total Formula 1 disaster. Just a complete mess.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't be expecting a hell of a race. 😁
Mercedes-Benz owned this track last year. Will we see a repeat performance? It seems highly likely.
The previews and predictions are all pointing toward the same thing: the other teams—especially Red Bull Racing—are looking to close that gap with Mercedes-Benz. It mostly comes down to the specific layout of this track. Will they actually pull it off?
We'll see.As those perpetually tipsy folks from the Midwest might say.

My only tiny gripe is that we're gonna see, it's not we're gonna see, it's more like we're gonna be seeing, or if you're really gonna go see'em, not seen'em, then you'd say we're gonna be seein'—but that’s just a weird regionalism, not how we talk in the Midwest

As for the races themselves, things are looking pretty volatile. If Lewis Hamilton doesn't pull off a win and instead suffers another slip-up, I suspect his mental state might take a serious turn for the worse.
Watching what Williams Racing and the stronger Red Bull Racing teams are doing behind the Mercedes-Benz is perhaps somewhat interesting, but frankly, it’s all rather trivial. ☕

A smooth start, I suppose... nothing to complain about there.

But I think a tiny little error slipped through the cracks here, didn't it? Shouldn't that bolded part actually say "slow" 🤷
