Sir Alan Rickman (Alan Rickman): "After the fuss you made about getting left behind?"

Guy: "Yeah, but that's when I thought I was the crewman that stays on the ship, and something is up there, and it kills me. But now I'm thinking I'm The Guy Who gets killed by som monster five minutes after WE Land on The planet."

James T. Kirk: "You're not gonna die on the planet, Guy."

Guy: "I'm not? Then what's my last name?"

James T. Kirk: "It's, uh, uh - -I don't know."

Guy: "Nobody knows. Do you know why? Because my character isn't important enough for a last name, because I'm gonna die five minutes in."

Nicole (Sigourney Weaver): "Guy, you have a last name."

Guy: "DO I? DO I? For all you know, I'm 'Crewman Number Six'! Mommy... mommy..."

Alan Rickman: "Are we there yet?"

Guy: "HEY! Don't open that! It's an alien planet! Is there air? You don't know!"

[Guy holds his breath. Fred Kwan (Tony Shalhoub) sniffs the air and shrugs]

Fred Kwan (Tony Shalhoub): "Seems okay."

I love how Tim Allen nailed Kirk's vibe from the Enterprise: specifically how—especially in the series scenes—he’s constantly leaning forward in his seat with that "I smell poo!" expression on his face.

And my *favorite* of them all is the guy who plays the ship's technician in the series. This dude is totally spaced out the entire movie: they're sitting in the car and he's staring at a can of Coca-Cola like it's the first time he's seen one in his life. The aliens are talking about their planet being in danger and this guy is just trying to get the vending machine to work. They move them to that gel chamber on the ship deck and he just goes, "Woooow, dood, that was *awesome*!" My favorite part is when they fly through the minefield and the ship is trashed. Explosions everywhere, alarms blaring, Tim Allen is frantically tapping at the keyboard trying to reach engineering, and when he finally does, this totally checked-out "technician" pops up on the screen and says, in this completely deadpan voice, something like, "Well... like.... the berilium ball is... like broken and stuff... and we should.... like replace it. And shit." and right behind him, an Alien falls screaming from the ceiling.

Such a fun movie!

Fred Kwan 😂 is the best character in the film.

Fred:

"Hi guys. Listen, they're telling me that the generators won't
take it, the ship's breaking apart and all that. Just FYI."

"It's the simple things in life you treasure."

[On traveling through space in a pod]
"That was a hell of a thing."





[Fred tries to digitize the pig-lizard with disastrous results]
James T. Kirk: "What? What was that?"
Alan Rickman: "Uh, nothing."
James T. Kirk: "I heard some squealing or something."
Nicole: "Oh, no. Everything's fine."
Teb: "But the animal is inside out."
James T. Kirk: "I heard that! It turned inside out?"
[the pig-lizard explodes]
"And it exploded."
James T. Kirk: "Did I just hear that the animal turned inside out, and then it EXPLODED?"

^^ After failing to teleport from the Alien planet back to the Protector more than once, Fred wasn't exactly sure if the next jump would actually work. But as soon as he spotted Laliari (Missy Pyle), his confidence shot right back up. The teleportation worked. 😁



Voice of Computer: "The enemy is matching velocity."
Nicole: "The enemy is matching velocity."
Alan Rickman: "We heard it the first time!"
Nicole: "S**t! I'm doing it! I'm repeating the damn computer!"

Voice of Computer: "Negative, there is no replacement Beryllium Sphere on board."
Nicole: [to crew] "No, there is no replacement Beryllium Sphere on board."
Sigourney Weaver: "You know, that is really getting annoying!"
Nicole: [shouts] "Look! I have one job on this lousy ship, it's *stupid*, but I'm gonna do it! Okay?"
Sigourney Weaver: "Sure, no problem."

Nicole: "Well, forget it! I am not doing it! This episode was badly written. Whoever wrote this episode should die!" / "It always stops at one on the show."
