I’ve got a question because I just stumbled upon two completely contradictory sets of data, and now I’m left wondering who is actually telling the truth and who is just trying to screw me over.
Pardon my language, but that’s really how it feels. Just look at the specs for this monitor on these different sites and compare them to what's listed here.

So, I guess the real question is, whose information is actually correct?

Honestly, I wouldn't trust anything besides the raw data straight from the manufacturer's own site... and hey, one more thing... when you're shopping for monitors, don't even bother looking at those "SmartContrast" gimmicks. Every single brand has their own little fancy name for it and their own weird way of measuring things. It's all just noise. Just stick to that second, "real" number—you know, like the standard 1000:1 ratio.

So why on earth is Samsung claiming these massive 30,000:1 or 50,000:1 ratios for their dynamic contrast? I mean, does anyone actually believe they’re hitting those levels of real contrast, or is that just some fancy marketing rebranding for basic smart contrast settings?

Here are two examples for comparison.

The Samsung 2343 model.

Basically, if you look at them this way, the panels seem pretty similar.

And then there's the General Electric 220.
