Urgent: Logitech G9 issues... help!

Hey everyone—if you look at what I’ve listed above, you'll see I'm specifically eyeing the Logitech G9, not the G9x... basically, I was wondering if anyone could weigh in on this. I've heard some chatter about that smooth grip—you know, the matte finish on the mouse body—actually wearing down over time. Does that actually happen, or is it just internet hearsay? And does the textured version have the same issue? So far, I haven't heard any complaints about the textured one, but I'd love some clarity. Please let me know... it's kind of urgent since I'm planning to pick it up tomorrow
