Help me out, everyone! I just got scheduled for a General Electric nerve study on my arm... and my friends are telling me the pain is absolutely unbearable. 😕 Is it really that bad? 😲 Has anyone else here gone through this? Please, could you walk me through what actually happens during the procedure and how long it lasts? I'm feeling pretty nervous!

Don't worry, it's really not that bad. It’ll be over before you know it. If you're that stressed about it, maybe you could skip the shots entirely—you could just go to a private clinic in New York City or somewhere out in Napa Valley instead.

I haven't spent a ton of time under a doctor's knife, but I can tell you this: getting an EMG from General Electric is hands down the worst test I've ever endured. Pro tip—make sure your hands are actually warm before they start poking you, otherwise the readings get wonky and they might make you redo the whole thing. It’ll be over in about fifteen minutes, though. Just grit your teeth and try to think of something positive to keep your mind off it.
