Getting a CD/DVD error message

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well. I’m running into a massive headache with my CD/DVD drive. I’m on Windows 10 Home Premium, and for the most part, things seem fine—if I pop in a disc, say one filled with photos or some other files, it reads everything perfectly without any drama. But the second I actually try to burn something? Total disaster. I just get hit with an error every single time. I even went ahead and installed ImgBurn to see if that would solve anything, but nope—still nothing. It won't let me burn a single thing to a CD or DVD. Any ideas on what might be going on? Just grab it, get it installed, and see if you can actually make it work using a free program like Nero Burning ROM.

LISTEN, I AM JUST TRYING TO COPY MY WINDOWS 10 DISC—IT’S A BACKUP BECAUSE I LOST THE ORIGINAL ONE—AND EVERY SINGLE TIME IT GETS TO THE END OF THE INSTALLATION, IT STARTS SPITTING OUT ALL THESE RANDOM ERRORS REGARDING THE ISO FILE FOLDERS.

NO WAY—I ALREADY TRIED IT, AND IT JUST WON'T WORK, PERIOD!!!

Maybe chill out on the all-caps? It kind of feels like you're shouting at everyone here.

You can just create an ISO image from an existing DVD and then burn that ISO onto a new disc.

hahahaha 👍 man, I guess I actually did it—I didn't even realize what I'd done until I logged back in and saw the mess I made. Must have bumped the Caps Lock key by accident. Well, point taken... I'll keep an eye on it for next time. peace out
