Gmail vs. Outlook

I've got two accounts set up on my laptop, one via Outlook and the other through Gmail. For some reason, whenever I try to attach a photo or a file to an email, my computer insists on launching Outlook instead of Gmail, even though I haven't touched Outlook in ages and just stick to Gmail now.

Do you mean you use "Outlook" as an app (from the Microsoft Office suite), or do you just have an email address like "nestonesto@outlook.com"?

If you're using the Outlook desktop app, you can actually manage both outlook.com and gmail.com accounts right from there:
