hype. Everyone else is just busy arguing over nothing.

It’s the truth. This guy is the only one actually staying on topic here.
There’s a certain group of zealots who think they can go on shopping sprees whenever they feel like it because they have some gold tucked away during a total food shortage—which is pure stupidity. Then there are the realists laughing at them. Finally, there are the speculators. That’s where I land. Maybe the value will tick up speculatively, but that’s about it. At the end of the day, gold is just a physical stock; it's just as speculative and just as useless for anything else.

Keep treating him like some kind of commodity 😁
I’ll just stick to how most people have viewed him for the last five thousand years: as nothing more than money 🙂

The issue is that we live in a global market now. When one thing gets overpriced, something else becomes undervalued. If gold rides a bull market all the way up to a bubble, people are eventually going to pivot into stocks that are sitting at a discount (classic sell high, buy low). There’s really very little room for a scenario where gold stays sky-high while stocks stay bottomed out for any extended period.

1748... still waiting on that potential jump to 1780 before a real correction hits. We'll see what the New York crowd thinks when they wake up at 2 PM.

And what if they switch to manual transactions—no power, no digital payments, just old-school cash... 😂
Then we simply buy what we need. 😁

In a situation like that, I’m grabbing my piece and getting what I need, no biggie!

Look, if you walk into a shop with a shotgun, the owner is probably just going to hand you your change—it's not like they're going to call the cops immediately, especially since lead is basically just scrap metal anyway.

You guys sure love a good debate! 😂

Spending a hundred years prepping for some big moment, only for it to blow up right in your face before you're even ready!

Sure—assuming someone doesn't shoot you first just to grab your sidearm... simply because they want your ammo. 😂

So, who is actually the bigger doomsayer here? Is it us—people planning to buy groceries using gold or silver bullion—or is it you, thinking you're going to need a gun for every trip to the store? 😉

Look, I'm not a doomsayer. I just don't vibe with all this talk about everything collapsing. My bad if you took me the wrong way! I don't think things are going to go totally south like some people on here claim. Just saying.

I picked up 2 kg of silver last year and honestly, I'm not thrilled with how things are moving. Plus, seeing that 15% gets scooped up every year by folks like me, on top of what goes into jewelry... I feel like I missed the boat. Just being real with you guys.😢

Hehe, those folks who seem convinced that gold is just some relic from a bygone era... you’ve got plenty of shady characters roaming the streets of cities like Chicago or New York, claiming they can "exchange your gold for actual cash" 😂, and suddenly everyone is rushing in blindly.

Gold tends to pack a much heavier punch in terms of purchasing power than any pile of fiat paper ever could. And, if we're being honest, I suppose it might actually be easier to swap gold for real value during a crisis than trying to offload stocks or Treasury bonds.. though, I guess maybe fiat cash might pull it off eventually—it would certainly be a first after about 500 failed attempts, wouldn't it?

Today might just be a dead cat bounce before we see a reversal toward the 1660-80 range. A drop down to 1620 is technically on the table, but I wouldn't bet on it. The Dollar could potentially break past 80.3 in its next move... we'll have our confirmation if

1. The Dollar breaks through that 80.25/30 barrier and if
2. Gold slips below the previous floor—I think it was 1738. And if
3. The S&P 500 closes the day under 1430. Any two of those three triggers should be enough for us to call it: the correction has officially started.

Well, points 2 and 3 just hit. The correction is officially underway.

Now we just wait for point 1 to provide the fuel.

The metals are bright and shiny, after all, so they can't exactly be the "dark side." ☕

We might see a little bounce here thanks to the Dollar, but we’re likely hitting rock bottom in about ten days. When that happens, it'll be a massive buying opportunity—the kind we haven't seen since mid-May. Just a reminder: from May 16th through the peak, mining stocks like HUI jumped 47%. Even from May 16th to today, they're still up 27%.

Look, your strategy is flawed if you go all-in at once and then start beating yourself up when the market takes a dive a year later. That’s just bad math. You’re better off buying in chunks—wait for a dip, grab some more, and then hold steady. Silver is positioned for a massive run. Will it be higher in a year? Two? Three? Who knows. But over a 5 or 10-year horizon? It’s looking pretty damn likely. Of course, nothing in this world is a sure bet, but personally, I’d much rather park some cash in silver than dump it into tech stocks that could crater to zero overnight.

The golden rule is simple: don't touch money you actually need for rent or groceries. Only play with the extra cash—the stuff you don't know what to do with and can afford to let sit untouched for years.

That 15% supply squeeze? That’s actually a win for those of us holding physical metal. When mining output eventually hits a wall, that accumulated surplus is what’s going to fuel industrial demand. It means we'll probably see a steady, controlled climb rather than one crazy vertical spike. Which, frankly, is better—it lets you take profits in nice, manageable bites instead of trying to time a single peak.

Everything is fine... I'm just pulling your leg a little...

That said, if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of things going "south."
Of course, we need to define what we actually mean by that term—😍 when the three of us get together, we all have our own perspectives, and our definitions of a total breakdown vary quite a bit.

Some might view "going south" as a sudden cataclysmic event—something you can't prepare for because, ultimately, nothing matters once it hits. However, if you view it the way I do—as a scenario where global food and energy distribution face serious disruptions—then taking action actually makes sense. You’d look foolish if you thought such a thing was impossible while acting like a carefree little cricket from a fairy tale.

In that light, precious metals like gold serve a specific purpose for those who hold them—and silver does the same.
A lot of media pundits claim holding gold is foolish while they cling to paper currency—but they fail to realize that gold is the ultimate money. You can exchange it for whatever you need anywhere in the world, which isn't exactly an option with the dollar. 😉
