Honestly, I appreciate the support from everyone here. If I wanted to be told "just let it go, leave it to the big players," I could have just stayed home and listened to my girlfriend.

Anyways, if anyone knows of any US brokers that allow for live gold trading, please let me know!

Shifting my correction target to $1,666 based on the 50-week moving average:

http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=$GOLD&p=W&yr=0&mn=10&dy=0&id=p60948935733

Probably hitting somewhere around Wednesday or Thursday.

As per usual, it's all about the Dollar...

Thought I’d jump into this thread and weigh in. Here's a little look back at how things used to be.

Just another reason why gold is actual money.

I’ve already scrolled through this thread a few times—and I think rapidsurfer90 was actually onto something with his forecast—as well as some sites suggesting we might see a bit of a correction coming this February. So, what’s the actual logic behind these predictions? What specific trigger is everyone waiting for—and why does it have to be February?

Somewhere around February or March... that's just an assumption based on the idea that the Dollar is due for a massive drop and will eventually need to bounce back. Either way, I think gold is cheaper right now than it'll be in February or March. Every local bottom from here on out should sit higher than the last—same goes for the peaks.

-----------------------------

Today's complication is this: it would have been much better if we'd seen another 2 or 3 days of sliding so we could actually confirm we hit bottom. Right now, I’d say there's a 70/30 chance that yesterday wasn't actually the bottom. We'll know in a day or two. We might see a jump toward 1730 or even higher before a sharp drop, or maybe it just keeps climbing. You can't call it with any certainty right now.

James Turk: The German gold is gone...

Today James Turk shocked King World News When He stated, “The entire German gold hoard was gone because it had been leased into the marketplace. Meaning All German Gold worldwide, which should have been sitting in vaults, was actually emptied by 2001 because of The Bundesbank leasing activities.”
Turk further noted, “Half of The Gold They ( The Germans leased themselves. The other half of Germany ’ gold hoard was also eventually leased out via complex swaps with the US. But the bottom line is that by 2001, that gold simply wasn't there. Every bit of German gold that was supposed to be secured in vaults had been leased directly into the market.”

Now, just imagine what happens if the Federal Reserve suddenly demands that the gold leased out by Germany be returned immediately—I'd love to see how the markets react to a move like that.

The fact that nearly seventy years after the war, the Germans don't even have their own gold at home tells you everything you need to know about who’s actually in charge.
Now they’re making noise about bringing 150 tons back home over the next three years just to "verify" it. Supposedly, they moved 500 tons out of New York City back in 2001 (which lines up perfectly with the sale of British gold... total coincidence, right? 🙂), but there’s still almost 3,000 tons sitting in New York City and New York City...

When you look at certain facts regarding the introduction of the Euro—which some people call conspiracy theories—claiming it was pushed through by France, vb, and the USA just to keep Germany in check, and then you notice that German gold is sitting right there in those exact countries... hm...

Word on the street is that the price for German reunification was adopting the euro—giving the French a bit of leverage to make sure Germany doesn't repeat its mistakes from the 1940s. 🙂

We’re closing in on a massive upward swing. It could happen today, it could happen in a few days—who knows? If you're looking to stack silver coins or gold bullion, don't expect a better entry point than this. Even if we see a quick dip toward the 1660/80 range, it'll likely be a flash in the pan that only high-frequency traders can catch. For the rest of us, those are just tiny blips on the radar. The big picture is still the climb toward 1900, probably by January.
