Google Drive issues?

I was hoping someone could help me clear up two quick things regarding Google Drive storage (the free version):
1—how much space we're actually looking at, is it 5 or 10 GB?
2—and what’s the absolute maximum file size allowed for an upload?

1. You get 5 GB, plus an extra 500 MB for every referral (up to 20 referrals, which caps you at 10 GB total).
2. 300 MB per file.
