Here’s the issue.
I have no idea how this ended up on my PC, but at this point, it feels less like a glitch and more like actual malware. It keeps forcing its own site as my homepage and won't leave me alone. To make matters worse, I can't find an option to uninstall it through the Control Panel. I’m looking for some advice from anyone who knows their way around this kind of stuff!!

I wouldn't call it a virus if it’s tied to Yahoo, but just to be safe, you should head into your browser settings and reset your homepage to https://www.google.com/ or whatever your preferred search engine is.

You might also want to double-check your Windows internet settings to see if that's set as your default home page (just go to the Control Panel, then Network and Internet, and hit Internet Options).
Also, take a quick look through your browser extensions—settings, then options, then add-ons or extensions—to make sure you didn't accidentally install some random plugin. If you find anything suspicious, just uninstall it.

If none of that does the trick, your best bet is to just grab the latest version of Adware Cleaner. It might pick up any leftover junk or unwanted software hanging around:

.....once it's running, start a scan, see what it flags in those columns, delete everything it finds, and then use the program to restart your computer.😁

Just grab AdwCleaner and run a quick scan—once you hit the clean button, that should take care of everything.
