So, here’s the situation: I picked up a 1 TB Western Digital Blue. When I hooked it up to start my macOS installation, the system reported a capacity of only 32 MB. I tried plugging it into a different PC, and there it was—the UEFI shows zero capacity. Even when checking the drive within macOS on that second machine, it still claims it's only 32 MB. I took it back to the store, they sent it out for service, and promised me a replacement. Well, I picked up the "new" one yesterday, and it’s the exact same story. Is anyone else losing their mind here? 🙂 Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Thanks.

Are you sure they didn't just send you the exact same one? 😂

Just send it back and let them deal with it... 🤷 What else is there to do? It’s a waste of your time messing around if it’s acting up the same way...

Is it possible? Of course it is. If the whole production run is a lemon, then that's exactly what happens...

Given how we tend to treat customers, maybe it's no different here. I went back to the store today, returned the item, and got my money back. I'm done wasting my time. I'll just find somewhere else to shop.
