Has anyone actually tried this? This supposed herbal concoction that supposedly neutralizes calories—you can eat whatever you want, and the weight just drops off without that dreaded yo-yo effect coming back to haunt you.
Apparently, you just sip on two spoonfuls of this syrup in a liter of water throughout the day; I even read about a woman who lost an extra 15 pounds after giving birth using it.
If you don't hit a specific weight loss goal within three weeks,
they supposedly give you a full refund.
I’m naturally skeptical—I mean, really, how could it work?—but wouldn't it be nice to hear some success stories from us old folks to show there's still hope? ;-)
The company distributing it is
Estée Lauder
P.O. Box 302
New York, NY
It appeared in some publication as a sponsored advertisement under the headline
The story of Oprah Winfrey
...at least, that was my impression while skimming through the scanned article I received via email.
What strikes me as odd, though, is how there isn't a single
phone number listed.
In the first week, you might lose anywhere from 8 to 13 pounds, though most likely that's just water weight leaving the system...
Cost of the regimen:
1. For less than 22 lbs (2-week course)
$60
2. For more than 22 lbs (4-week course)
$76
3. For more than 44 lbs (6-week course)
$93
Then there's the question of shipping costs—which can be steep—
not to mention if you decide to return it because it's a dud,
how long does it actually take them to process a refund?
Basically, it’s all about ten different plants that supposedly force the body into fat-burning mode,
like dandelion, birch, linden pollen, cherry, corn silk, and various other herbs.
One thing the text doesn't clarify very well: do you have to keep taking this constantly just to maintain your "newly acquired weight"?
