So, over the last three days, I’ve noticed these two little bumps popping up on my head—honestly, they feel just like those hard lumps you get after bumping your skull against something.
One is right where my neck meets my head, roughly level with my right ear, and the other one is sitting right on the top of my scalp towards the right side. I caught the one on my neck about three days ago, but the second one just showed up today. They're maybe four inches apart. Neither of them is giving me any headaches or anything; I really don't even notice them unless I'm actually feeling around with my fingers.
I’m a little bit freaked out, though—I've never dealt with stuff like this before. I've always been pretty healthy, never had any major illnesses or even chronic headaches.
Do you think it could be from the AC at the office? It's blowing directly onto the top of my head all day.

Anyway, I’m planning on heading to see my doctor, but I'm wondering if there's actually any reason to start panicking here.

Kevin Nelson3, I honestly don't think you need to be panicking quite this much...
I've actually had a sort of lump on the back of my head for quite a while now myself...it doesn't hurt, it doesn't sting, nothing. It’s been there for years and hasn't caused me any issues at all.
If you're already this worked up about it, then maybe just go see a doctor, because you can never really know for sure, but it's probably fine.👍

I gotta admit, I’m starting to freak out a little here. If it was just one bump, I could wrap my head around it—no biggie. But two of these things popping up in just three or four days? That’s definitely not a good sign.
I’m wondering if this could be some kind of inflammation triggered by the weather or something, maybe causing some swelling in my head. And honestly, since we're talking about my head, I am really not liking this one bit.

It’s pretty standard, really; I actually have one myself that runs from my hairline down to my temple, which gave me a bit of a scare at first until I realized that my mom, my grandma, and my sister all have them too, just in different spots on their heads.

ruggedpanther64, I’m not entirely sure how normal it is to have bumps on your head...🤣

But seriously, if you’re panicking this much, just go see a doctor so they can tell you what's actually going on and call it a day...
It most likely isn't anything more than just some lumps...
Maybe your brain is just growing? Have you been studying or reading something intense lately???😁

Don't stress out over it too much....

About four or five years ago, I smacked my head against the edge of some tiles. A massive lump formed immediately after... I didn't bother seeing a doctor or anything; just applied ice until it subsided slightly. It never actually went away, though. It’s still right there on my hairline, where the forehead meets the hair... I have no idea if it can even be removed after all this time, or if it's going to cause issues down the road.
It hasn't ever caused me any pain. It just sits there...

I took a hard fall when I was a kid, hit my head on a step, and I've had this bump on the right side of my skull ever since. Honestly, I can't tell if it's from the accident or if I was just born that way. I've seen doctors and surgeons, and they all basically tell me the same thing: yeah, the right side is more pronounced than the left, but there's no need to touch it and it's "normal." That doesn't help much, though, because whenever I press on it, I get this weird sensation—like the area is hollow or something. It’s been a huge insecurity for me, and frankly, it still is. So, I figured I'd ask if anyone here actually understands surgical procedures 😁: is it possible to skip the removal process entirely? Instead of cutting it out, could they just inject something under the bump to fill in that gap, effectively leveling out my skull so both sides match? 🙂
It feels stupid asking this on a forum, but I don't know what else to do.
