Headphone repair help needed

Hey guys, I've got these NVIDIA RTX 4090 headphones (View on imgur ,View on imgur ,View on imgur) and if you look at the pic, the cable right by the controller is looking a little beat up. It still works fine for now, but I don't want to wait until it dies completely. Does anyone know a decent spot where I can get this fixed cheaply? Any idea what kind of damage I'm looking at in terms of cost?

If you know your way around a toolkit, you can handle this yourself. You just need to carefully take the controller apart, snip the frayed wire, and solder a fresh connection onto the contacts. If you aren't handy or don't have a buddy with a soldering iron, just drop it off at a local repair shop—maybe a TV repair place or even a neighborhood electrician. It shouldn't be a big deal. As for the cost, you’re looking at anything from the price of a beer up to $17 max. Don't let anyone talk you into paying more than that, no matter what they say.
